So, evidently, when the wheels start to spin on this Corolla, the transmission simply disengages. At least that's what my wife is reporting, as she's stuck out there in the boonies. I can't get out in my old 87 Ram 50, of course, to help in any way. Rear-wheel drive & all...
Fortunately, I have a friend on his way home that'll be there in about 10 minutes to help her up that little hill she's stuck on. He has an 06 Toyota 4-wheel drive that will get him where he needs to go.
I'm really hating this car! I noticed before that when it began to slip on an icy road there was this beeping, like they programmed the damned thing to alert me that it's slipping. Yeah, THAT's just when you need those kinds of distractions, ain't it?
There's just too damned many bells & whistles on these things. I expected a front-wheel drive to be better in the snow, but NNNNNNNnnnnnnoooooo! It just stops & refuses to frikken MOVE at all!
What a crock!
