Taught my students last night, & they gave me a buncha deer meat. Seems the guy did nearly the exact same thing I did, except he fired from his door & got two. Yay! More venison to smoke.

This time, however, I'm only using sassafrass. The oak gives it a very strong taste, & I wanna see what the sassafrass by itself will do.

Next time I'll get me some apple & smoke with that. Shouldn't be too hard to find around here! Lotsa orchards around.
