I'm afraid CraigMaxim is right, though keep in mind all three Abrahamic beliefs have had their times of evil.

From the way you talk, I'd say you never left...

Share something please, that would be evidentiary of my cult-like tendencies.

I'm all ears... uhh... eyes.

Otherwise that is merely an insult without merit.

I certainly don't disagree with that.

But anything involving giving POWER to a narrow group of individuals has the potential for abuses. Whether religious, or political or economic for that matter.

As the saying goes...

"Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Violent act of a disturbed individual.
Nothing more. Even if he was associated with 500 different "radical" groups. Only he bears the resposibility for his actions. IMO
Liberty (such as it is) is a great power to the individual.
It is, as are most things in life a double edged sword.

But be aware, the "entertainment" industry is still masterbaiting.
Not all the facts are known, or published.

You've provided all the ammunition Craig. Just read your own posts.

@Craig

First, I know things get personal here; I want you to know that I think if you and I were sitting down with our guitars in our hands and talking MUSIC that you and I would get along JUST FINE :)

What I take issue with here, Craig, is your rush to judgment. This is something I despise about people who affiliate themselves with organized religion. For whatever reason, religious people seem overly excited to rush to judgment about other people. This judgmental nature is one of the many things that turns me off from organized religion.

My preference is to let the media do their job, let the police and military investigators do their job, and wait to see what they have to say. I do not know this man who committed these killings. I know nothing about him personally. I think it's prudent to wait for the full details to come out by the people on the ground who are actually close to this and who are actually doing the investigations.

I think rushing to judgment is wrong. I find it disappointing that so many people are willing to engage in it.

Fair enough. The other comment "read your own posts" is not a real argument and is avoidance of providing actual evidence. This is more clear, and it appears you accept to some degree that you were merely insulting me.

As to the organized religion comment, well, I am not a big fan of organied religion. I am not your run-of-the-mill Christian. One of the Christians on here, has openly questioned my being a Christian, and in fact, has almost determined that I am NOT a Christian. Interestingly enough, it was somewhat over my assessment that many Christians have become idolators and WORSHIP the Bible as a god. I say that because God is the only thing I know of that can be "perfect" whereas books, no matter how inspired, cannot be perfect. Language itself is not a PERFECT medium for communication. It is merely the best most of us have. In suggesting that I would not be a Christian if I didn't believe the Bible was perfect, thereby "believing" every word of it, he is in fact, proving my point about the mistakes Christians make in elevating the bible to "god-status" as NOTHING in the Bible itself purports such a belief.

Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

I only have to believe in Jesus.

Scripture does not save anyone. God alone does.

The former position is idolatry.

In any event, there are other Christians here too, who question me being a follower of Jesus as well, just not openly. :-)

I say that to say... If I am judged equally by agnostics and atheists as I am by other Christians, what does this say?

I am either a pretty bad person, because both God fearing people as well as atheists find common ground against me. Which.. it is nearly a Miracle in itself, that cooperation. ;-)

Or else...

Maybe I am bringing some truth to the table, or a new way of looking at things, that shakes them up and challenges BOTH parties?

At the least, you should appreciate that I may be worth investigating, because I am certainly not easily labelled.

Jesus had a way of pissing off just about everybody, and yet he was a very sacrificial and loving person, who practiced that love daily.

I believe I am in good company. I certainly do not yet love as Jesus loved, but I've got the "both sides of the aisle being pissed at me" thing down!

LOL ;-)

I pray for the families, friends and loved ones of all those who lost their lives in this terrible tragedy. My only fear is that the establishment (as stated in their own words by George Sorros, Rahm Emanuel and countless others) will "use this crisis" for their advantage. Please keep in mind that there are 2,000 pages of corrupt and premeditated legalistic socialist trickery in the process of being passed. PLEASE READ THE BILL ITS NOT ABOUT HEALTH CARE!!! Do not let anyone distract you from the important things. If you study history you will see that anytime there was something serious in the works behind the scenes (especially something that a nation or society was divided on), the puppet master perpetrators have either staged or used a crisis. This is also a well-known and ageless military tactic. Please do not be deceived.

When I said....

"Nah there is something deeper going on here. You can SMELL it on people these days and its akin to fear but then not so."

I missed out the word 'some'.

*** Right now where I am things are pretty bad but most manage a smile or two. It's not everything and I haven't given up hope, I never will give up hope either.

They might even spin this as "Dissenting soldiers are domestic terrorists" or "Gun ownership needs regulations" etc. Please read the MIAC Report where they state that militiamen, Ron Paul supporters, anyone with liberty or "Don't tread on me!" stickers are now classified as terrorists. You have to read this to believe this! Serious business here....

ps: and most importantly returning vets from Iraq and Afghanistan, in the MIAC Report, are now considered "potential terrorists" as well.

It is indeed. We however, have the reassurance that God will still have His way in the end! This is a rather comforting notion.

Yes, it's quite worrisome. And all you need to do to find the source of it all is to follow the money, cuz that is what it all comes down to, not religions.

The Patriot Act was not all about "protecting America from abroad" either. Look at the riders on that lil gem.

We are all potentially terrorists, as the powers that be continue to warp the definition.

I'd leave this place to the wolves (no offense meant, EM or GLEN [yeah, I know, your avatar is a husky, but it's close enough]) but they want to take their fabulous show on the road, now, for even MORE profits at the expense of everyone. So I suppose all there is to do is stay here & fight the evil at its source, for this is where it surely resides.
