1.) It's wrong to attack others who believe differently than you do. Didn't your mom teach you that, yet?
2.) Ours is the only industrialized nation that treats its citizenry with this much indifference, but I suppose you don't really have the time to actually check things out.
3.) Your living in a country that treats its ppl worsa than any aboriginal tribe, yet you hold onto the view that this is freedom at work. Without health, you cannot enjoy freedom, whether you have it or not (& you DON'T, btw).
4.) You have yet to explain how the taking care of the sick & injured is Marxist in nature, or how this in any way could possibly relate to the atrocities of the nazi party. It does not relate, btw, no matter how many times you post this tripe. If you think about it, what they were doing was the exact opposite. But I suppose it isn't in your nature to think when it comes to this subject, cuz you get such a hair up your ass every time you read the word "socialized."
5.) You seem to think that anyone wanting health care is a freeloader. Nothing is further from the truth, in most cases, & I'd say that none of the arguments I've read have leaned that way at all. I work. I don't get health care in my work because it isn't something I can afford on my income. Fortunately, I have a wife that gets it at her job. Still, our health care exists at the whim of her company. This gives me cause for great concern. They can remove it anytime they wish, in their search for profit. As we've discussed before, the American coreporation, esp the largest ones, are removing bennies & lowering pay at an alarming rate in this country, in their search of the endless profit. Ppl are stuck in ruts, or working 2, 3, even 4 jobs, part-time, to pay their bills, to clothe & feed their children & themselves, & STILL have no way to pay for health care. When something happens, as it does to all of us at different times, they go under, losing their homes &/or jobs &/or their very ability to work.
You cannot leave it to the communities to take care of thse ppl, because our society has virtually erased the entire concept of "community." So I guess you's just tell them "tough luck, bub, better luck next time," eh? Screw your tired old arguments, Glen. They've gotten old. I hope you never go through what so many do in this country, but if you do, there will be some sort of karmic balance going on there, after listening to your endless anti-human rants on this subject.
The one thing you got right, I suppose, is that it is not a god-given right, or we all would live without need for it. It IS the thing that any civilized ppl would do for each other, though.
