I think everyone on here has their own spiritual beliefs and should be respected for their own views. That doesnt make anyones beliefs any more "RIGHT" than the next person it just means we all have our own views.
That's to be said of a lot of online communities. You'll come across a lot of stubborn individuals out there. That's the very principle of believing in and of itself, don't you think? To believe something is in fact to "know" or at least think that you are right. However, the tricky part of believing is understanding that there are two (or much more often more) sides to every story. And that's where respecting others comes in. You really hit the nail on the head with that. You call yourself unintelligent, but I for one think that that's a very wise yet difficult conclusion to come to in this day and age.
As for derailing the "purpose" of the forum itself, I choose to politely disagree with you. I happen to very much enjoy discussions like these, where everyone puts forth his or her opinions. Like so many others, I like to base the material I write lyrically on conflictual issues, be they faith-based, philosophical or otherwise. Getting different and new viewpoints on this helps make the stories of my songs more alive and real. Further, I'd like to propose that this kind of discussion is also healthful to the members, as well. Through debating the difficult issues, sooner or later everyone learns something, including how to respect others, and I've learned through experience that that's just as important in an online community as it is in person.
Finally, I'd also like to think that there was a constructive result here. If there was not, I sincerely apologize for fanning any flames of hatred that have been kindled since before my membership here. I can completely understand your desire to remain silent, but I think that the ridiculous amount of political correctness that has pervaded into our culture has glazed over our eyes. The "to each his own" philosophy is great to a certain extent, but it's taken to the extreme when one man ignores his brother for fear of offending him. If the discussion has to end at this point, that's totally fine by me. Again, I'm sorry if I've done something wrong by trying to incite an intelligent discussion, or if I've offended anyone in any way. Thanks for your responses, everyone.
