You could be right 'bout that; it just hasn't been my experience. Folks contact me, but never to do anything I would enjoy. Shlepping a hefty rig to do something I'm not all that keen on...seems too much like a job, 'cept w/o the pay. The #1 rule I made for myself in retirement was to have as much fun as possible, and having a job I don't like that doesn't pay anything, well, just doesn't fit in w/ that. I worked at it pretty hard for about 2 years, but this just isn't a good place for what I want to do.
For example, David Sanborn is coming to town, but you'd never know it; there's been virtually no advance notice, no advertising, nada. And this is David freakin' Sanborn--a Tampa native! When I heard about it, it was like they were apologizing for having him here, and they put him well down on the bill (4th of 5). I'mma go, but I gather I'll be sitting alone, while folks go off to get a cola or something.
So I come in here while I'm doing breakfast and hear about what folks in other places are doing, listen to what they post (was checkin' out your posts on youtube), etc. I like to read while I eat.

Haven't been playing much lately. Been turning the rental unit to get it ready, doing some work on my house, gonna watch the CFP today (my alma mater plays tonite), gettin' ready for my next court session, etc. When I hang out w/ my retired friends, we try to figure out how we got everything done when we were working stiffs. Must be an age thing, dunno.
