Everyone knows real harps have strings. I do a bit of timber cutting from time to time and it don't bother me when some misinformed git-fiddler calls his instrument an axe.

100 % spot on. I'm not chopped liver on the stringless harp myself. In fact, at the expense of sounding immodest, I'm one of the best in my neck of the woods. I don't like to hear myself blowin' more then once a set.
As pertains to the topic at hand, bad harmonica playing is in fact notoriously annoying, but a good one is a match for any string plucker!
Actually, I would delight in jammin' with both you guys on a trio for bass, harp, and harmonica , afterwhich, we could do a little fishin' and shootin'.
