But your too self absorbed to realize it.
I will not shut nor be told so by a snot nosed brat.
This is a musicians site, not a date service for the mentally retarded.
Go away.
I'm not going away until I reach someone who is not so damn judgemental. Someone who is not so quick to say things like, "oh, you need to be on a dating site" and assumes I'm mentally retarded just because I'm trying to stand up to a bunch of bullies or looking for something different than what most "musicians" are looking for.
I need to reach individuals who are nice enough to share their experiences on a given website, and who are nice enough to show me how to use the site to effectively find what I'm looking for.
I have a feeling that the people I've been reaching on numerous sites like Baton Rouge Rocks, Craigslist and Bandmix are the "self-aborbed" individuals. That explains the snooty and stuck up attitudes I've encountered, such as high and mighty hardcore rockers viewing their music as superior to pop, or reaching people who always feel they need to make fun of my goals so they can look good in front of their "friends". And reaching people who only get into music to make money, or to impress the ladies, or to go to bars or clubs and get drunk with friends. I don't want to be a part of that lifestyle.
I'm looking for a guy around my age who I can become best friends with, who just happens to play music as a hobby, but who is talented, and can help me expand and move beyond playing covers, and who can show me how to do mixing and recording. Someone who has some other non-music related part time job, such as working in retail or something.
