It is the Marxism of both parties to bring about forced taxation toward retirement and take money from people to give to other people when they stop working, when each should be allowed to use their own money to invest in their own retirement, which would render them more money, and retain the principle of personal responsibility and accountability.
Social Security is not secure, never really was, being just a money scheme, and soon will not be at all, simply because of the number of workers mounting to pay for one retired person. I always thought every person was putting money into an account with their name. I was totally uninformed, as most Americans have been about the scheme. Now, it is a sacred cow. No one will touch it. It is socialism and total denial of Constitutional provisions for limited government.
Edit
I should add, before anyone jumps down my throat, the beneficent organizations and the goodness of the American people had always been there to help the poor and deal with needs when they've arisen. Now the middle class are struggling, there is little to go around, and everything in America feels the pinch. All because of the federal government's schemes, abuse of powers, and Americans learning to care more about some movie star or sports figure than their own God given rights, citizenship, and national history.
You are so right. You don't have to apologize for anything. THE STUPID AMERICAN PEOPLE NEED TO APOLOGIZE!!!!
Don't argue with a stupid person. They will pull you down to their level... And beat you with experience..."Samuel Langhorne Clemens"
