Paper Dog - You have a good point, and one I've thought on. Lots of people have had no problem, or seemingly, like me. I got the same vaccinations in the early 60's, I have a high IQ, I've been able to learn to be a machinist, mechanic (small and large engines), optical repair technician, computer repair, almost every instrument you can think of, photographer, some electronics, guitar and amp maintenance and repair and I'm sure I missed a few things.
But...short term memory has always been a problem, since long before I knew what a joint was, half the time I can't think straight and I'm not sure I can blame it on that little guitar player in my head that won't shot down, and I'd be willing to bet in a few more years, if I live that long, I'll be looking at Alzheimers.
That's the one that makes me tend to think mercury is more than just an issue related to things like Autism, both were unheard of until these vaccinations had been used for a few years. (Senility is not the same)
Nothing is conclusive, but from what I looked up about mercury a few years ago, I have to seriously question it. That was basically chance, my father wanted to go fishing in a lake with mercury warning sings up, I refused and he threw a fit so I looked it up. Spent 2 weeks reading long articles about mercury. Where it comes from, what it does,m how it becomes more concentrated the higher up the food chain you go...it was scary. The primary damage to humans is brain damage or disfunction. Memory loss, actual damage to the brain, in extreme cases people can go outright crazy.
So, when I saw hints that it might be related I started to think that over and compare it to the facts about mercury, and it seems to fit.
Other things could well be related, adding to the problem, especially nutritional deficiencies. The "food" sold at the grocery store is so highly processed it has literally no nutritional value, and what is supposedly there is nothing but chemicals. Corn, for example, is white after processing, so they have to use food coloring just to make it look like corn again. Taste is gone so they use chemicals to make it taste like corn again. Vitamins and minerals are gone so more chemicals.
The same happens if you grow your own, most people over cook things so most of the nutritional value is gone when it hits the table. As far as corn goes, when I can grow my own it never reaches maturity, I can think of very few things I like more than a handful of baby ears of corn the size of your little finger right off the plant. Ditto for broccoli, asparagus, tomatoes, carrots...well, tomatoes have to be ripe, but uncooked is best.
Virtually everything n the grocery store is so loaded down with chemicals you should never touch it. Especially the huge name brands. I can't even name them, I could be sued for it if they happen to see this. But if you see it advertised on TV, don't touch it, it's loaded up with chemicals. It's certainly unhealthy, and most likely poisonous. Commercially processed food I think is the number one cause of cancer. Most also contain MSG. Check the labels, and look it up, they have over a dozen trade names for MSG they use now since a lot of people quit buying anything with MSG after it was found to be related to several serious diseases and I think cancer too. (I'm not sure about cancer and don't have time to look it up, but it's not hard to use google). But it's highly addicting, and they want you to buy more, so they still use MSG but call it something else.
So I'm pretty sure mercury may not cause it alone, it has a lot of help from other things we eat, and use on a regular basis like suntan lotions, but I'm pretty sure mercury is the root cause. Suntan lotion??? Look at the ingredients. All that crap is absorbed into your skin. My favorite rule is if I can't pronounce it, I don't want it in or on my body. I'll have to do some digging later, it's time to be off to work. There's more...lots more.
I'm a member of the BOMB SQUAD.
