I have had nothing but trouble to out right bullshit with fudx locally.
I now specify UPS ... or I don't order.
Fudx put a sticker on my back door claiming they could not find my house to make a delivery.
F@#king idiots.
I can imagine that happening. Especially if you know that that FedEx driver/package deliverer was the same one that delivered your last package. New drivers are often in areas they are unfamiliar with. They read turn by turns that are often incorrect and doesn't know when to identify the difference. I've spent lots of time on a single package to determine the right house because the address on the package was 1572 Such'n Such Court. The numbers (in a court) could easily be seen. Company records and GPS confirmed it was good. Looking up the customers phone #, talking to the customer, it was1672 Such'n Such Ct. To me it is important that a customer get that package as ordered on schedule, whether it is a PRS, a Foot switch, or an expireable prescription of insulin. I have also been on many streets, roads, courts, loops and what not that are all new to me even though I have an extensive driving record in Central Ohio. I make no more money from the stop if it is 10 100 lb. packages that takes me 45 minutes to find the address because the address sequence of the building is physically out of sync than if it is just an envelope to be delivered next door from my last stop. Services like FedEx, UPS, or your trash service I cannot see being a bad value unless your service provider just doesn't have work ethic. I don't mean to hijack, sorry, but I've alredy posted this previous message. This is an endendem to that end... I quit my job yesterday. I was working for an independent contractor that does home delivery. Took two months to get signed on. Took four months to figure out that a man can't make money at $1.32 per delivery if every delivery is predestined Fncked up using FedEx computer generated turn by turns and incomplete maps and aging scanners. The boss got real smart mouthed with me about "These excuses..." I told him if it weren't for the health insurance, I'd Quit. He said What health insurance? Exactly! I have $30. in my bank account two weeks from Christmas. I'm not fearing. When FedEx has you pack your last package deep in the truck and your first stop is next door to you last and the whole rout is just a futile attempt at de-Fnking, you have to drive like an idiot to make up for lost time. I would prefer to be alive come Christmas. I have completed my routs diligently without any damage to any property or had so much as a flat tire. I have a clean driving record. I plan to keep it that way. In the past week, they've increased my work load 40%. It is Christmas and that is expected. I could handle that. I may have worn a little paint off the corners of that truck I was driving, running like a Quarterback in the pocket. I have taken the time to buy a sandwich to eat while I drive 4 times in 4 months. I'm not making any more excuses.
