Thanks you guys so much. I will look into Jango, Bob. I've been doing a lot of promotion, just started a blog on another site. I will start doing a video blog interviewing other artists and putting them on my website. Whatever it takes, I'm there while I still have some energy left.

Chaeya, seven can still be your number. A person's opinion who has been listening to nothing but singing all day can't be that vital. When you think about it, everything in music is a contest. Recently, I had one drummer who couldn't play but one simple single kick beat tell me that he didn't like my style, while a few others at Lombardo status gave me mad props.

Really, you were judged on someone's taste. And that taste was Pop Star. Do you think Joan Jett would have gotten a thumbs up if she had entered back in the day? Heck, she got rejected so hard that her band had to put out the record themselves...and then became overnight sensations. Joan Jett was too hot, rough, and yes, like you said...rebellious.

You didn't lose anything.

At the least it was a memorable experience you could not have had anywhere else. You know that is what life is all about, and that is what makes life interesting.

I know it's cliche, but I always say it: At least I tried. Congratulate yourself.

I love you Chaeya ! Your a class act as far as I'm concerned.

I like listening to your songs about every day . I am a big fan !!!

I think the post you submitted to the forum here ought to be published in the Rolling Stone maagazine . And once you sell a few million units you may find it published somewhere like that. We all think we are going to make it someday and dreaming with persistance is what it takes. Don't let some peon who thinks he knows somethig put you down. Get up and write something else and show us what you have.

Oncore !!! Bravo !!!

Thanks!!!! Hearing people really loving your music and appreciating what you do is what it's all about. Cisco and I work hard on our music. I love that about my husband. He goes into the studio like a man on a mission and he will stay there all night and will work on it for days until he gets it the way he wants it, then I get it and do the same thing. The words have to be right, the story has to have the right meaning.

I really can't explain it because suffering from depression the way I have most of my life, I have to say I really believe in a Force, Divine Will, God, Shiva? I don't know, but when I look at my youth, I see how not ready I was. In my 20s I still looked like a kid, a face full of acne and braces on my teeth. Even though I got work, nobody could ever see me as a front runner then. I've been kicked down a lot, and even though I would wallow for a spell from some of my setbacks, I would still get back up. Now I feel full of fire, like I can get back up faster than I could before.

I remember a story told by William Blake, I think, where a man is taunted by Lucifer. The man goes at him and fights him with all his might, but he's smoted. The man gets back up in a new body, his weaknesses in the old body are now his strengths in his new one. This goes on and on until the man stands before Lucifer in a body bright and shining as his, and Lucifer embraces him and takes him up to Heaven. It was an interesting spin on Jacob wrestling with God, I thought.

I've always seen this as not just evil, but "unbelievable odds." In my younger years I was crushed by the idea and there wasn't much fire behind my words, but now I find myself challenged by them, like a warrior. I don't think it's all me alone, I definitely have forces working through me.

We must have goals to make the game of life interesting.

Hey Chaeya, I just read the blog/article - thanks for sharing - that was really a great write up. I was blown away by the pictures of the crowd outside - yikes, I don't know how anyone could muster up the patience to sit through a line like that :/ But being able to look back and recount that story is a great memory to have ~ very inspirational.

I'm listening to your reverb channel right now - just listened to It's All In My Mind - love your voice. Awesomeness.

cheers

Thanks guys! Yeah, if I hadn't brought my book along to read, I would've lost it too. Nothing like reading a steamy romance novel while waiting to take your mind off . . . waiting.

Great article, Chaeya! I gotta say, from the looks of all those people waiting for an audition, I might have turned and walked away...but the fact that you stayed and got in is a message to stick it out if you want it bad enough.

Really great pictures by the way. You have really beautiful skin.

Thanks Krul, who knew that it would take me over 20 years to get rid of acne.
