Wow!! Talk about make my day!!
Okay - first, I guess I need to correct myself.... I was speaking with my bro last night (the one that plays bass in Casey's band) - He said that I was mixed up and he didn't call me an "Average American Idol" singer - He called me an
"Average Karaoke" singer ---- (which to me, is even worse!!)

Whatever!!
Thanks for the compliment wild_eyed_drummer!! Yeah, it may be a waste of my talent -- but, as I was saying earlier on in this thread - I haven't been active in a band in a while, and I was just trying to get into something in this God forsaken place....BFE!! I currently collaborate online and that's okay and all - but I really miss being out there and performing - it's my passion - my dream - my life -- I just feel so "incomplete" - ya know?
Good Mornin' muzicmage
-- No, I don't have a completed CD - the only CD I have ever completed / recorded in a studio was a demo for the last band I was in - Miss Behavin' -- They are all covers.
I have done 4 original tunes total -- all with different ppl / groups -
Please check out my Myspace or Meez page - I have 2 of them posted on those sites
First one is the most current one ... a collaboration I did via the net with a gentleman in spain (MG71 project) - the name of the song is "Starting Over" and is the main player song on both pages -- both start automatically when you open my page --
I have a
podcast from my garageband site that is posted on both pages - the title of the song is "Screamin' Eagle" (Twilight Blue).
I also have a third player on both pages that has clips from the demo CD we made with the covers from the band Miss Behavin'!

I have two other originals that I did when I was with a band called "Wicked Sister" -- One's entitled "My Misery" and "One Step Ahead" - Lyrics by me -- music by the band -- these are old crappy recordings that I have on cassette tape - I recorded them by dubbing my vox in at my house -- on my dining room table

!
BUT - I have notebooks upon notebooks full of lyrics and have been trying to connect with a group that's going in the same direction that I want to go -- most ppl I've jammed with are phenominal musicians - but for them it's a hobby....
What did you have in mind???
Thanks Jon I will do my best to pop up there to see you!! It would be nice to meet ya in person!

I've always wanted to go to NY -- had the opportunity once! An Agent was going to fly me and my band (Miss Behavin') out for a weekend of recording and to play a one night show at some club he could hook us up in.... but the "hobby" guys didn't want to go

-- How far do you live from Like NY City or what city do you live close to?? I've been through NY a couple times when I was a kid - I have an uncle in Maine.... my dad used to take us on long scenic trips!!
TY Captain Scott - I sing Pat Benatar and Melissa Etheridge both - also Joan Jett and Beth Hart -- But Pat and Joan were my influences in wanting to have that "gruff" female voice as a kid.....I guess you can tell

!!
I wished I lived in New Jersey or closer -- or close to ANYBODY that I would be able to jam with!!! It would be a good show!! Any band I've ever been in has had a very solid fan base -- I was booked every weekend for 5 yrs solid -- and in every town we ever played - there was a group of ppl that would follow us wherever we went -- We never played to an empty bar -- Usually packed to the gills!! Alot of it has to do with the variety of the music I'm able to sing because of my wide vocal range and my love for diversified music!! Our set list consisted of Rock & Roll, Blues and Alternative music -- Examples -- Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Melissa Ehteridge, Van Halen, AC/DC, BB King, Tracy Chapman, Bush, Green Day, Collective Soul, Stevie Ray Vahgn (sp?), Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Alanis Morrisette, Kiss, Alice In Chains, Ted Nugent, Offspring, Days of the New... etc., etc.....
TY Therian Gray -- Let me tell ya -- it made my mornin' to come on here and find all these
great comments!!
Hugs, Kisses, Love & Rock n Roll to all!!
