Unfortunately...my damn tomatoes are now blocking my cucumbers and my spanish onions as well. I took a pic, but it's still on my phone. Need some with the camera. In my case, being the first year for a garden at my new house, I planted across the rectangle rather than with the rectangle which is how the sun travels through the garden. Live and learn I guess, LOL!
I'm getting ready to clone my best pepper plants here shortly so I'll have an endless supply all winter long (because I just have to have pickled japalenos, hungarian hots, cherry hots, habaneros, and cayennes for hot sauces).
As far as the sun blocking issue, it looks like you're in the same boat as me. We both have to pay attention to how the sun travels through our garden areas and plant accordingly next year. This year though...it looks like everything will work out just fine. Rock on brother!!!
