Regardless, you don't yell it at the President while he's speaking. And all politicians bends the truth; facts are only as good as the person spinning them.

Funny stuff Craig. Of course I don't want to give Texas back to Mexico, that wouldn't be very nice for the Mexicans LOL.

My two cents for what that is worth anymore.
jimmydanger wrote:I'm glad you're civil and reasonable Craig. But it seems if this debate has torn our country in two. The representatives of this country's citizens have spoken; let's give it a chance to work and decide later if it was right. Peace.

The man was out of order and is a liar for first not admitting he said it, and then saying he was referring to the bill. I'm sick of the teabaggers calling members of congress fags, nig*ers and baby killers. It's the sign of a desperate mind to sink to that level.
I vote to give Texas back to the Mexicans.

That's the thing. When you're talking about a phone-book sized bill, it's really hard to gauge the impact. There are too many people claiming victory or doom right now, and the fact is no one knows exactly how this will shake out.
I thought Dooce wrote a pretty cool piece though about how this bill immediately affects her family: http://dooce.com/2010/03/22/mommyblogging
There's some good stuff in this bill. It's not perfect, but I do like some of what's in there.
Currently, I have insurance through my work - and it's good insurance. But I may be switching jobs later this year - I may even be going into consulting and thus will be on my own. Previously I hated the idea of consulting just because of the difficulty of dealing with health insurance. But this bill changes that. Consulting is actually an option for me now...
So, it will be interesting to see how this all shakes out.

Is this what people on your side of the aisle do? Call the president a liar
Well, he is a liar.
Sorry, but he's lied about alot of things. He even made up sh*t in his own autobiography, that was later shown to be non-factual.
He's not a very honest person.
That's not an insult... just factual.

Agreed.
Kruliosis wrote:Surprise surprise! This California native does agree with CraigMaxim. I don't believe anything the president says. When I saw him running for election something about him freaked me out, and now I know why. My state is going downhill with because of him and our stupid governor. Everyone I know is jobless just about!
BTW, I'm an Independent, so you can't put a left or a right wing on me.
There is a lot of crooked officials, judges, and law enforcement in Texas, but it's only in certain areas. The corruption, self-righteousness, and racial segregation is in West Texas. Now, I'm not putting everyone from there in my analogy, I'm just saying that's where a good majority of the corruption is. Dare I say Lubbock? I can't stand that place. The air is too thick for me!
