Dude you really need to get a few Les Pauls cause the Strats just sound awful! You need more balls in your sound and the strats just make all your work sound super tinny! It hurts the ears... Just sound like a bunch of noise... waAY TOO MUCH TREBLE! Slow down and be melodic....Speed and tricks aren't the way,,,,Like I've said a plethora of times to you>>> think before you play/post! and it's really getting "old hat" I will post up new recordings in a month when my new band goes into the studio and you'll here what i mean... Got rid of my Strats for that reason and picked up 3 Lp's and a beautiful PRS and the tone is awesome compared to the "TINNY" SOUND OF THE STRATS! Don't get me wrong...they are awesome guitars, but not for the stuff we're playing!

How'd the Tremonti thing come about? That's awesome!

You don't necessarily need to stop using Strats, but the overall tone is not too strong. I'd really look into a new amp setup or mess with your current settings. My guess is it could be in there. The distortion is not great there. What kind of amp are you using?

I used to use Strats, but I switched to Les Paul and it's been much gooder ever since. I know there are some pickups that can give a Strat some balls, but I gave up before I even got into that.

I love my sound in the room I play in, however, when I record, not so much. I need to put some time into educating myself with recording.
Regarding Creed, I won a guitar competition and played with him in sound check and concert. It was great, he loves EVH.
I was playing around with some different mics today and recorded this, sounded a little better. What do you think?

Thanks man..

I think it sounds good in that video. The Van Halen sound is really good there. Your sound goes well with what you're doing. There's not a lot of riffage there, so it's a little hard to tell with that, but your playing is really good.

As for the guy saying you're playing too fast or too much or whatever....I'm pretty sure you're "just jamming." I like the speed and tricks. It's fun stuff.
