I have said nothing about charging for posting. I really don't know why you mention that subject. Maybe thats what upsets you so much. The thought of that is rediculous.

My first impression was that this forum is frequented by aging musicians who like to reminisce about their glory days and rant about the present state of music/politics/economy. As a musician... I didnt take it seriously. But alas, I made some new forum friends and occasionally been contacted by other musicians in my area for gigs. I like it and I hope that this forum gets better. Maybe if we posted more topics about actual musicianship and performance, people will have an impetus to join in the conversations.

Oh, Ive been in contact with the admins tryin to get my forum avatar to show up. I have sent them an image 5 days ago and still not rectified. Grrrr.

I don't believe that. Every map I ever saw shows clearly that south is at the bottom, & I know from my plumber friends that water always runs downhill!

You guys are nuts! ...I have found my home

Thanks for the feedback by all! I really love Jimmies Chicken Shack.

Here's a test that I want you guys to do (I am doing the same)... Let a kid you know listen to the tracks. Preferably a high school kid & see what they think.

That's the age group we're going for. I love y'alls opinion, but heck you probably aren't buying much new music anyways... I'm not either. But the kids are.

Now don't get me wrong, your opinion matters & your feedback is priceless. I want you to think like a kid in the year twenty ten. Who grew up listening to tons of rap, all kinds of rock, and is eager to seek what's next.

Next is a stupid term... there's nothing "next". It's all been done. So my theory is to be REALLY REALLY good at what you do & your sound will stick out.

NO NO NO NO !!!
Do you think anybody said exactly that before Metallica happened? What about NWA? The Pixies? Sugarhill Gang? Dick Dale? Korn? Hank SR.

You bet they did. All were cutting edge and changed music. There will always be something new to make the young say ... "CRAP! What is that?!! " and the old say "what is that CRAP?!"
