Kramer, I know you think President Reagan screwed you....I think he was trying to follow closer to the strides of our first president,George Washington.
In Reagans farewell speech he echoed the very things that Washington said in his farewell speech.

actually you would be surprised to know that washington wasn't the FIRST president, although it's become common for our schools to teach that.

Also notable that our founding fathers were all wealthy bigots who wrote the constitution to exclude non-wealthy land-less, and indentured men from benefiting from most of it's intent. In fact, it's original intent was to protect it's authors from the powers of any state (unregulated capitalism), to which the likes of rockefeller and friends showed us just how well that system blossoms, something we're going to find out a second time since we cannot learn from our own mistakes.

As far as following in washingtons footsteps, I agree glen that reagan succeeded, he certainly was a wealthy bigot who used government to enhance his own, and the lives of his constituents.
