Heidi's Album Sells Less Than 1000 Copies

Heidi Montag better find herself a backup career, because she is not going to cut it as a singer! She released her first album this week, Superficial, and it has only sold 1000 copies.

Sources tell Us Weekly there have only been 658 downloads since the record was released. As Hollyscoop previously reported, Heidi mentioned that "within the first week, we will definitely make our money back."

She had told EW, "I put every dollar I have into this. I've spent over $1 million, almost $2 million, on this album. It's cost as much or more than a Britney Spears album because I wanted it to be that quality... The songs will make an impact in pop history."

That’s the problem with her and husband Spencer Pratt—they're under this deranged impression that the world views them as real celebrities with true talent. Not only is Heidi an awful singer, but the plastic surgery nonsense hasn’t done anything for her credibility. Sadly, this is probably just the beginning of a very long downfall for the both of them.

I don't think it's sad at all, more like the result of some very bad investments. Let this be a lesson to us all.

Less than 1,000 copies. Somebody just made Joel McHale's day. And it wasn't Spencer's creepy flesh-colored beard. Good day Mr. McHale, Good day sir.

"Speidi" are really trying to stretch out their 15 minutes.

I am listening to Heid's "music" right now and it is everything you expect it be; that generic neo-pop sound (lady gaga-miley cyrus-) with a lot of vocal effects, indistinguishable from any other pop tart star. She spent a bit of money only to sound like a common clone. There is even a song with Spencer rapping *giggles*
I can almost actually picture the hella cliche music videos that this music would spawn.

The sad part of it is that the b*tch got an oppurtunity to do an album in the first place.

sans, sex WILL sell anything. First, however, there must be sex appeal. No one would wnna mate with this mutant/plastic hybrid.

Okay...maybe 658 ppl would...

a half-wit blond chick who posed nude in playboy - spends between $1-2 MILLION dollars making the album?!? What a dumb-ass!

Did she actually try GIGGING and seeing how many people would even care? Jeez everyone is out to try to make it quick and can't even do the basics....

Craig, this kinda links to what I argued in the other thread about the BASICS. Had she done her homework (or even asked ANYONE in the biz for advice), this disaster could have been averted.

I can think of 10 ways she could have made that album and managed a profit.

I am pretty sure she was someone on one of those reality tv shows targeted at the teen to young twenty year olds. She had like 10 procedures done at one time, if I am remembering right. If it is the same person I am thinking about, she looked much better before the surgery. Stupid. Wonder where her self confidence issues came from.....

Her publicist and agent probably came up with the idea that she should make an album or she did and only has yes men around her.

I actually feel a little sorry for her. Self confidence is a fragile thing easily bruised or even broken when you are young. Something you never quite get over. Yes you can work at it....but it is still there lurking.

Can you have self consciousness issues when you don't know who you are to start with?

Haha,

I'm sure she's surrounded by "yes" men.. shame she didn't realize it sooner.

Good to see ya Robin! hope all is well
