Thanks Bob!

I know one thing... It's catchy... which is always a mark of a potential hit, cause my step son only heard it once or twice and went around singing it the rest of the night, and woke up still humming it today. LOL
My wife was really touched, especially when the second verse rolled around, cause it is actually something I told her before we were even married... I had told her:
"You know, I was thinking... how precious is someone's last breath? We can live without food for months... without water... only a week or so... but without breath? Mere minutes! So, how important would that last one be? If someone knew they were drawing their very last breath... what would they use it for? Well, I realized, that I love you so much, that I know... I KNOW... that if I was taking my very last breath, and I KNEW, it was the last breath I would ever have... I would want to use it, to say your name one last time, and tell you that I loved you."So when she heard those words again, finding their way into a song for her, after 7 years now... yeah... tears started flowing.

Still solo. I really haven't had a chance yet, to find out what musicians are around here... Saint Marys, GA or Jacksonville (25-35 minutes away) but there is ALOT of musicians in Jax... It's a city of over a Million people now... If it's meant to be, I'll find the right group of guys again. Meanwhile I'm waiting on taxes, to get some of the equipment replaced, that I had to pawn months ago, so I can start getting paid for solo gigs, and I am thinking about joining Taxi, and still want to get some business coming through my Mom's studio. Hopefully, between playing out again, and doing some studio work, I'll be networking, and find some good players.
fisherman bob wrote:You're a phenomenal singer. I wouldn't mind having you sing in our band...
Thanks Bob... that would be an honor brother.
For a long time, I never thought I was good enough. I grew up traveling the road, from 12 years old with my mom's band... so I was always in her shadow, and SHE was a phenomenal singer... in her prime... she had Streisand's power, but with a more feminine voice. She would have been the Celine Dion of 35 years ago!
I made her a MySpace, and uploaded some of her Country originals (but she sings everything) that she wrote and sang... and they still sound really good, even though she was probably at least in her mid to late 40's when she laid them down...
