This is no mystery.
The
overreaction to Palin is evidence enough.
Remember the person here, who said that Homosexuals were "possessed by the devil" because... "you could see it in their eyes!"
That person is AFRAID of something, and is making decisions and assessments from a BIASED position, which will not allow him to make a RATIONAL assessment of an INDIVIDUAL.
Palin is a typical "heartland" type of hardworking American with values.
More and more, the anonymity of big city life, has brutalized such values. That is why, a typical American, a house mom, thrust into the spotlight because she has answered the call to SERVE in government, has strong religious convictions, but still manages to "DO IT ALL" for the sake of her family, and her constituents, would appear to be SO STRANGE to those who have long ago abandoned most traditional values.
Not all traditional values are misguided Jimmy.
We throw out the baby with the bathwater, and our nation suffers as a result.
I would not be very concerned about Palin personally, except for the fact, that "God trusts her". She's one of His, and I can feel that from Him.
Like her or not. God trusts her. Bad things are going to happen, that will make 9-11 look like a playground effort. She is going to be used by God to help pull our nation together. She has the values that matter, and she is not afraid to die for them, let alone be beat up, by people like you, merely because she is a normal person who CARED to make a difference, in her own state's political corruption.
God has a history of "David and Goliath" type doings.
The ones who follow Jesus, were the reprobates of society, not the religious elite, who screamed for his death instead.
The Jews did not accept Jesus, for one simple reason. He did not become their MILITARY RULER... Their KING that FREED THEM from oppression. He instead came as a "suffering servant" and that appears... WEAK!
But in God's wisdom, he chooses things that appear WEAK to be STRONG. He chooses things that appear STUPID to confound THE WISE. It is the MARK OF GOD, that something that seems to far-fetched, becomes reality.
Jesus affected the WORLD, and not the mere few people of Jewish decent in an unimportant part of the known world at the time.
He was a KING!
He was VICTORIOUS!
His love has changed THE WORLD!
But at the time, this seemed IMPOSSIBLE to be the future. He was a weak, turn the cheek, man, who was mocked, tortured and then nailed to a cross to die a slow and painful death. It was the Jewish leaders that SUCCEEDED since they obtained an order to have Jesus killed.
Game over right?
Not hardly.
And what about me?
A redneck in appearance, since I use a cowboy hat to play Southern Rock, and yet... Not only am I NOT racist in ANY WAY, but I am also liberally open minded, while grounded in traditional virtues, and just happen to be, one of the smartest people on the planet.... and just maybe... just maybe... may have been trusted by God, with an understanding of biblical and theological truth, that answers questions, that theologians have not found real answers to, for THOUSANDS OF YEARS now!!
A redneck looking Southern Rocker, used by God, to TEACH fundamental Christians that their hatred of blacks and of homosexuals, is unfounded! To remind them, that it is about LOVE, it is ALL ABOUT LOVE!
An odd messenger for God to choose.
And yet, he has a history of such a thing.
Like David.
King Saul, a good King early on, became self-consumed, and God told the prophet Samuel that He had chosen another King from among the sons of Jesse, a man from Bethlehem, but when Samuel went to inquire of Jesse and see his sons, there was a problem. Jesse had brought out a number of sons, but Samuel knew spiritually, that none of them was the one God had chosen. This confused Samuel, because he had been led to believe that these were ALL of Jesse's sons!
He asked Jesse... "Is this all of them? Do you have no other sons?"
Jesse replied that... "Yes, there is another son, but he is working the fields, tending to the sheep"
Samuel had him bring the boy to himself.
Jesse had not bothered bringing David the first time, because David was a scrawny, younger boy, who was merely a sheep herder. Nothing very KINGLY about such a boy as that.
Prophets know better, and judge SPIRITUALLY and not EXTERNALLY at appearances, or even superficial circumstances.
David was the one.
God opened the door to bring him to NATIONAL PROMINENCE later, by encouraging his heart, to VOLUNTEER to face Goliath, the champion warrior, who mocked the fearful Jewish warriors, on a DAILY BASIS and taunted them to come out and face him.
None would.
David did!
David won. His die was cast. His fame spread through the region.
HE BECAME KING!!!
Similarly, if I am right, and God is going to use Sarah Palin in some way, to help us through some very dark days to come, then she will have her own David and Goliath experience, and GOD WILL put her, where she needs to be... just as He does me.... just as He did David.
God is building an army Jimmy.
RIGHT NOW!
Not from some distant planet, or riding magical horses that fly from the sky, where fire literally comes out of people's mouths.
God is spirit.
There is no unnatural horses going to be created and used in the sky.
The battle is RIGHT HERE!
On Earth.
God is building an Army, for those that have eyes to see and ears to hear, and it is God's army, and CANNOT BE DEFEATED, and as he always has, God is choosing the UNLIKELY... yet FAITHFUL among us, to take up positions for the coming battle.
Sarah Palin belongs to God.
As do I.
You will see the pieces falling into place much later.
