I've already started letting other musicians know, many of the locals already know about her rude, snotty attitude.

No, didn't get pictures, never thought about it but the camera was only a few feet away. Wish I had thought of that...

Capt - Violence is always my last resort, and then only if it cannot be avoided. I'll talk my way out of it, walk away, whatever is necessary. I don't want a reputation for being the hothead I used to be...I keep my cool if at all possible, and if a fight breaks out I make sure someone else starts it. Then I'll be over onstage protecting my amp.

Never thought about setting up and letting her test everything, but I really didn't want to chance it. I know she's not going to cough up $1200-1500 to replace my Super Reverb. Or somewhere around $10,000 to replace Randy's PA and electronic drums, the drumset alone is close to $4000...I'd just as soon go home without ever plugging in, wet electrical outlets are not my friends. If I plug in at all, I stand a good chance of losing expensive equipment, that's unacceptable. I'd rather lose the gig.

OK the rest of the story...

He called us the first time, to fill in when someone else couldn't make it. Called at 3, had to be playing at 6...short notice...and we got less than we would usually make, since it was a Thursday night and we were taking the place of karaoke...which pays a lot less.

So he started to move us to Friday and Saturday nights, at the same lower pay, which meant we would have to turn down better paying weekend gigs if they came along and we were already booked there.

so we're actually better off, and if he does call back, which we expect, we won't be taking lower pay again, that's out. I already told Randy if he calls tell him I said not no but hell no. It won't happen again, and if we do play there at all we'll refuse to take less than our regular weekend pay.

Bottom line though, both of us don't want to play there again at all.

Sounds like a good decision to me, Billy. I'd add that I don't wanna be there when that crazy woman is running the place! (j/k, sorta!)
