If it was arguable, or winnable, mankind wouldn't have 4000+ years of intolerance, bigotry, torture, and war to show for it.
If "what" was arguable or winnable?
It's a simple question.
Robot or human?
Free will is what separates those choices.
What does 4000 years of "some" people living violently have to do with anything?
People making mistakes is the EVIDENCE of free will. The evidence that we have not been programmed to "behave" perfectly, by running a program MAKING US DO WHAT IS RIGHT.
It is ILLOGICAL to blame God for the actions of man, if you accept the existence of "free-will"... which means that you are in control of your own decisions and actions.
God gave man a god-like power, though we are mere "created" beings.
Which is... FREE WILL.
The power of being autonomous beings, with the ABILITY to even refuse God's will in our lives.
Because it was a dangerous gift, God in His genius, created a PHYSICAL WORLD, a PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT... where He could "allow" us that gift, and yet the CONSEQUENCES of our actions, affect only THIS WORLD, the PHYSICAL WORLD.
It's not unlike confining us to a "rubber room" if you will, to protect everyone and everything OUTSIDE that room, from what happens INSIDE THE ROOM.
Anything can and does happen... both good and evil, when we are given free will. This world is like a NURSERY OF LOVE, where we are given a LIMITED TIME (we have a limited lifespan) to LEARN what good and evil are, and what our relationship to our Creator will be, and MAKE THE CHOICE OURSELVES, whether we embrace God (LOVE) or embrace SELFISHNESS and LIVE AS GODS OF OUR OWN LIVES, because WE DON'T WANT God's direction in our own lives.
It's our choice.
God can't FORCE anyone to love Him.
