bob - I'm not hunting them. They;re OFFERING themselves to me!

When Jim came to pick me up, there were SEVEN in the yard, & none of them moved an inch as I left.

They're taunting me. I just know it. Sunday, when I'll HAVE the time, they won't be anywhere to be seen, I'm sure.

Craig - Keep your #%$$#% politics out of my $%%#$% ranting thread!

Chris - good idea...I'll work on that as soon as my fingers heal. I slammed them in some demonic sawhorses today & I gots purple fingernails on my left hand! OUCH!

Only got the roof done today for Jim's daughter's trailer. It was a mess, but it's fixed now. Tomorrow I'll do the floors for her, so they can move in. Poor kids are having a rough time of it like te rest of us.

True story that actually happened to me, you can't make up something like this. One day I was fishing in a boat with my boss, Ziggy. We were in a lake only a few feet from sure when I caught a really small yellow perch. As soon as I threw it back a guy fishing in a boat in deeper water asked me "how many points was it?" I turned to Ziggy and asked him what the hell is he talking about. Ziggy didn't know so I yelled back "it was seven points." The guy in the boat turned around shaking his head. So I yelled out "it was eight points." The guy in the other boat just sat there shaking his head. Then I said "look I don't know, I THREW IT BACK." Then Ziggy tapped me on the shoulder and said "hey Bob look behind us on shore." Standing there was a spike buck...

Gee...I musta missed that, Craig...but the time you edited yours says it was 10:43, while my post was set at 10:38.

It was there when I started my response. My response was j/k, btw. I really didn't expect you to actually DO anything.

A lot of my friends hunt.... I honestly couldn't do it... I really couldn't bring myself to be responsible.... when there's a spider in my house and my wife goes to kill it, I intervene and pick it up and either put it outside when weather permits or throw it in the basement! It rewards me at the end of winter when I come down and see a pile of earwig and other carcasses right below it's web! I'm not one of those fanatics that preach... I love a good steak and chicken etc.. I just couldn't fathom bringing down a living thing... I don't know why... been like this since I was a kid... I used to take it the hardest out of all my family when any of our pets died...

Meanwhile, my fukkin' dog kills at least one animal a week in my back yard! She's quick and quiet... I witnessed her sneaking up on a cat one time and luckily saved it's life!

Crip you would make a good hunter. Someone whom has love and respect for his game. Not one of those full auto slobs who bangs at every noise in the bush. I detest those people. Hell I'd rather shoot some of them.
I wont fire unless I can make a clean kill. Have let animals walk for lack perfect shot placement many times. It is the way I was taught by my father and his father. I love the beauty and the bounty of nature.

I whole-heartedly agree, sans. I've never ever taken a "chance" to shoot anything. I've let lots walk around here, even as much as I hate them!!!!

Not yet. Of course, I've been off, so they've been avoiding the property. I'll be in a rush in the morning to head off to work, so I'm sure they'll be here then!

UGH! Drywall tomorrow. I'd rather take an ass-whippin', but damn I need the work!
