So I've been patiently waiting to get another kitchen window shot at the deer, ever since the 1st of the month.

They've successfuly avoided getting in my sights whenever I have the time to dress 'em out.

Here I am, getting ready to do a free job for a friend (kicking carpet - UGH! roofing in the winter - DOUBLE UGH!) & there they sit, pretty as can be. There's 4 does & a buck just LAYING IN THE SNOW, MOCKING ME!!!! They KNOW I don't have time to do the deed! I'm sure of it! it's too perfect to pass up, yet I must. Last time I got one, there were 2 others that didn't even run after I shot. I could have gotten 2 or even 3, but there were time constraints, so I took out the smallest. This time, who knows, I could get 3 or 4? They're just laying there waiting for my bullets! I can't stand it! I can see them through the window in my office, too! They're just begging to be in my freezer, my smoker, my oven...

Man, I HATE a deer, unless it's on my table or on tv or in a picture.

I think I'm losing control... :?

Bembenek Appeals to Supreme Court (Lauri 'Bambi' Bembenek)
May 01, 2008 by Diana in Wisconsin

(Three state courts have denied retrial)

Laurie Bembenek, the former Milwaukee police officer and convicted killer who has always maintained her innocence, has asked the United States Supreme Court to reverse her conviction based on new evidence.

The odds of the nation's high court taking the case are slim, conceded Ira B. Robins, a private detective who has been pursuing the case for more than 20 years.

"We promised her dad (a retired Milwaukee police officer) on his deathbed that the family name would be cleared," Robins said. "We've got to do it."

The same arguments made to the U.S. Supreme Court already have been rejected at all three levels of the state courts.

The case, in which Bembenek was convicted in 1982 of killing Christine Schultz, the former wife of a Milwaukee police officer, generated international attention, and was the subject of two television movies and two books. The former Playboy club waitress nicknamed "Bambi" also attracted a cultlike following that rallied to her defense.

A 1992 John Doe investigation found that while there were mistakes in the police investigation, there was no evidence of a conspiracy or wrongdoing.

Pleaded no contest

At the heart of the appeal is a no-contest plea that Bembenek, who had escaped from prison and fled to Canada, entered to a reduced charge of second-degree murder in 1992. That plea agreement set aside the earlier first-degree murder jury verdict and also won Bembenek her freedom. In exchange for the no-contest plea, prosecutors agreed to a new sentence equal to the time she had already served.

Prosecutors argued that Bembenek, who has changed her first name to Laurie, gave up her rights to appeal as part of the deal. Her lawyer, Mary L. Woehrer, argues that prosecutors withheld key evidence.

"Powerful new evidence of actual innocence proves that petitioner Laurie Bembenek was wrongfully convicted," Woehrer argues in the filing with the high court.

Anyone remember that news, way back when?

If you vote or support Sarah Palin, do not come a crying when she does what she does.

If that becomes a president, I am leaving the USA.

May as well elect Tammy Faye Baker and her golden dog house.

Hunters are horrible, evil people who cannot feel the pain that the animals they hunt must suffer. Just think of the unimaginable terror all animals who are hunted must feel. You should be hung by your testicles until you cheer up.
