I've always suspected it. When I moved in this house some 6-years ago or so, it was kind of understood that this is an old Mafia neighborhood. The alarm system in my house is pretty cool considering it was put in sometime in the late '60s- early '70s. Motion detectors and all. I always kind of wondered if this was a Mafia house. It doesn't get talked about too much by my neighbors who have been here since the '60s. Oddly enough my neighbors knew my name before I even met them. At least it's nice to know they like me.

I noticed one of my cats really digging into a corner of my carpet. It was a little more intense than just normal play. So I walked over to see what it was he was messin' with.. And lo and behold..





It's a freaking wire tap..

There may very well be a website out there, detailing various devices for bugging, and maybe if you found one, you could date the device?

You need to write a song about it.

Whether it is about your cat finding the device, or whether it is generic about government wire taps and lack of freedom and such... the FACT that the song would be derived from a TRUE EVENT... you finding an actual government placed bug... would lend HEAT to the song, and fans would tell each other... "Yeah, that's a cool song, but do you know WHY Ted wrote it? Check this out, one day he saw his cat..."
