When NBC wanted to get rid of Stern because of all the complaints, their numbers people, brought out stats that showed that the people who were complaining and HATED Howard Stern, listened to him TWICE AS LONG as his own fans did.

Ratings bonanza.

And we will have an argument over this.

Palin is very intelligent, and only someone of less intelligence or someone intellectually dishonest, would not recognize this fact.

Raw intelligence has nothing to do, with whether she believes in God or not, whether you like her politics or not, or whether she knows what the Third Law of Thermodynamics is.


She is intelligent, she is capable of meeting challenges head on, she has character, and she is... quite simply.. a remarkable woman. And sadly a woman way our of her husband's league.


Someone with good intelligence will GET THE KNOWLEDGE they are lacking, and unlike someone who merely looks and talks good, a truly intelligent person, will make better decisions on their own, grasp the issues and understand them more quickly, and think better on their feet.

FAR WORSE GAFFES have been made by Obama, who got his own Defense Secretary's name wrong! Or Biden... wow... why even go there? Bush had NOTHING on Biden, who speaks before he thinks and looks like a deer caught in the headlights half of the time.

How is it that these "intelligent" men, get MUCH MORE WRONG than Palin, and make FAR MORE GAFFES and yet... "SHE" is crucified for the relatively few mistatements she makes?

Sexism and Politics.

Nothing more.

It amazes me how intellectually dishonest people are so willing to be, because they are like sheep, repeating mantras as opposed to verifiable facts.

Amazing.

Well, Palin is going to figure prominently in world affairs, for a while to come. Get used to it. It was not a fluke that she was brought onto a national stage at the time she was.

I must admit that you may be right about one thing - she could be very popular with some ppl on both sides of the fence. Whether or not she deserves it, well, I'll leave that to you & your biased views.

Newt Gingrich?

He has a brilliant mind. He has a genius IQ (I don't even need to check that fact, it's too obvious) and he is one of the most intelligent people you will likely see in political office.

He is a very open-minded thinker as well, and is not afraid to rethink government, and listen to anyone and everyone, and try new ideas, even revolutionary ones. He is also a MASTER of American history and our constitution, and is probably more well-read on our founding father's numerous writings, than ANYONE ELSE who is currently in the Congress.

You want an intelligent, and also well-read President for the nation?

You would be hard pressed to find a much more qualified individual.

That doesn't mean he SHOULD be President, or that I would vote for him if he ran. There are many other considerations that should be made for determining who holds that office.

Or could it be, that like so many others, and YouTube is full of them, you have trouble differentiating "opinion" from "news"? Cause CNN, MsNBC, you name it.. they all produce regular and POPULAR opinion segments, just as FOX does.

Maybe at the same point that YOU stop believing CNN or MsNBC et al, are any less biased.

Seriously. Wake up people.

I watch "ALL OF THEM" equally, as well as read international news sources. That's the "ONLY" way to make your best judgement of what a more "complete" truth is.

And you can't get much more biased than having a straight male anchor at MsNBC gushing about how Obama made him feel a THRILL going up his leg.

No one on Fox, has EVER said such a thing about Palin, and she's worth feeling a THRILL going up your leg.

What are your sources for that absurd assertion?

It is well-documented, through numerous non-partisan studies, that the major media is OVERWHELMINGLY liberal and usually liberal Democrats.

I think it's something like 70% to 30% - Hell, it may be more. I haven't had to pull-up those figures in a while now.

It's amazing how a relatively few conservative-bent opinion programs, like Hannity, Beck or Limbaugh (I consider Limbaugh an entertainer btw... nothing more, and I don't respect him very much) can cause such distress in people of alternative political views, that they conclude... FALSELY and against all evidence to the contrary, that there is a stronger representation of conservative principles, than liberal ones, in the major media.

McCain wouldn't have had a hope in hell, were it not for her. He knows that, and any honest member of his staff knows it.

The LIBERAL media, has plotted this change of the guard for YEARS before the front runners (other than Clinton) were even clear.

I am not a fan of the Bush family, PERIOD... but... what was done was dishonest and unprofessional.

He's just not in her league.

There's a reason she became the country's most popular Governor while he stayed home and watched the kids. He doesn't have her brains, or her guts.

He may be a fine person.

I respect that he handled being a house dad with dignity.

But it was HIM more than her, that was heavily involved with that extreme religious group, and the extreme political group, that wanted Alaska to secede from the Union.


She can't help where she grew up.


But, she's much bigger than the small town in Alaska she was born into.


She'll prove this as time goes by.


Hell, she already has, for those willing to be honest about it.


She has the will power and the ability to conquer just about any task set before her.

She is not as close-minded as she appears to many. You will see this more and more, and she will blossom, as she embraces the level she now finds herself on, and educates herself to the issues involved.

People get too wrapped up in their political colors to assess her honestly.

But this -IS- about political anger and NOT her own intelligence or abilities.

The drop in her popularity in Alaska proves this.

They know her there, better than we do, and they loved her and respected her governing of their state, even many of her political opponents as well. She was the same person they knew, when she accepted the call to be McCain's running mate, and in the BEGINNING they were proud of one of their own going to the national stage.

What happened?

She scared the living sh*t out of those wanting "change", when they realized, that she was boosting McCain so strongly, that he may actually have a chance of winning the damn thing.

When they recognized this, they HAD to draw lines in the sand. They couldn't afford what would have looked like, another 4 to 8 years of Bush policies.


She is "STILL" scaring the living sh*t out of liberals.

She is dishonestly mocked as a joke, when all the while, they wet their pants, and make her more important than she should be, right? Since she is a joke.


What dishonesty.


Otherwise say... "She is clearly an intelligent and capable woman, who has achieved alot in her life, but she has whacky religious and political views, and is not well versed enough in international issues, to be President."

But no... somehow she is such an idiot, such a joke, that from her own efforts alone, she not only rose to be governor of her state, but won over the hearts and minds of most of her political opponents there by how she governed it.


Yeah... They know very well, she is no joke.


It scares the living hell out of them, and so, like Bush before, they feel they have to assail her character, and her intelligence, to prevent their nightmares from coming true, while comforting themselves with their repeated mantras... "She's so stupid! She's irrelevant! Taking her seriously is like taking Pat Poulsen seriously as a real contender for President!"

Yeah, she's so "irrelevant" that these nit wits can't stop talking about her. Yet an intelligent person is supposed to believe they are being honest, when they send such contradictory mixed messages?

Yeah, she's a real class act. When she was in town hawking her book recently she stiffed her hair dresser. Apparently Queen Palin figures just being in her presence is payment enough.

Sarah Palin not only annoyed leaders of the Utah Republican Party when she didn't have time for them during her book signing stop in Salt Lake City last week. She also took off from her hotel after arranging for a last-minute hair appointment without paying the hairdresser and leaving her to cover her own valet parking.

But Rhonda Halliday of Images Hair Studio and Day Spa wants to give Palin the benefit of the doubt. She thinks the lack of payment was unintended, and someone on Palin's staff just dropped the ball.

Halliday was called by a friend at 8 a.m. last Wednesday and was told Palin needed her hair done that morning. Halliday had planned to take her 3-year-old to the dentist for her first filling that morning, but arranged for her husband to get off work for that chore.

She was told to meet the group at the Monaco Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City and to just leave her car with valet parking.

After being ushered to a room on the 15th floor and given some instructions (don't talk to Palin unless she talks first) she did Palin's hair while the former Alaska governor chatted with her family.

Then, the Palin party left to get to the book signing at Costco on time.

Halliday was the last one out of the room because she had to put her equipment away, then watched as they all drove off without anyone mentioning payment or a tip, which is common when the hairdresser travels to the client for the appointment.

When the valet attendant got her car, he said that would be $10. She said she was with the Palin party and assumed they would take care of parking. That was news to him, so she had to fork over the $10.

She says her friend has contacted Palin's assistant and was told to send them an invoice.

She did get a book and some nice pictures, though .

The woman still has not been paid or reimbursed.

It's amazing to me how McCain could have picked Palin. Not that I think she would have made a terrible vice-pres or pres if McCain died in office, but Palin was too much of a Washington outsider for her to be even considered presidential material. What concluded my low opinion of Palin was her debate with Biden. She didn't answer directly a number of questions. Also her quitting as Governor of Alaska doesn't set well with me. I don't think she would make a very strong candidate for pres if she decides to run in 2012. I also don't think Obama has any chance of another term as pres based on his plummetting approval ratings. I believe Obama's presidency is going to be similar to Jimmy Carter, one and done. I just hope whatever candidate the republicans nominate has something more to offer than a tired old man...

Ryan do you think HONESTLY that Palin is a strong candidate to run the United States? I tend to be a conservative in many ways and I gave her an honest hard look during the campaign. I can't fathom to this day why McCain picked her other than the fact she was a she and much younger AND good looking. I don't think choosing her had anything to do with politics...
