I am grounded in the Blues. It all starts there, whether jazz, rock, you name it. All born of the Blues baby!
Where is that team though?
I could use the help.
LOL

Million dollar line in a billion dollar song!

What a compliment!
I'm so stoked that you liked the song.
I was telling my wife the other day, about your successful song "Ronnie's Hair" and I started searching for it, on the chance that it was on the internet somewhere.
DID I FIND IT???
IS THIS IT:
"I like Ronnie's Hair" by The Philabusters
http://www.themadmusicarchive.com/song_ ... ongID=5031
If so, you need to contact that site and get your name credited for it, since they list no author or writer.
It has a clip to play.
Please tell me that's the right one?

Yep, that's my big hit! Now I'll have to check out my current ASCAP status (havent paid dues in decades) and see if I can get in on some of those big Internet bucks!

Seriously though, Craig, I do appreciate you finding it and definitely will fill in those blanks. I never heard a clip of it on line before, just a play list from "The Doctor Demento Show". I do still have a few 45 RPM singles lying around, and was considering conjuring up a vidio. Corney as it sounds, that song got a fair amount of national airplay in it's day, not the least by Howard Stern when he was on WNBC in New York City.
thanks again,
John
No problem John!
Just looking out for you brother!
I am happy to have discovered it online!
Awesome!!!

Thank you brother!
I have about 8 to 10 songs at various stages of completion, that I had been throwing together before I moved here to Saint Marys, GA and now that I'm pretty settled in, I hope to finish a few of those and put them up for everyone's critiques. I have some good ones on the backburners, that I think everyone will like.
Did you check out Howlin' John's old song that I found online? It had gotten alot of national airplay back in the day, including the Howard Stern Show! And after I found his song, and he checked on things, he discovered it had been played on the Dr. Demento show again, only a year ago!
So... boys and girls...
That would mean that Howlin' John, to the best of my knowledge, has had the most recent FM airplay among us Bandmixers!!!
WAY TO GO JOHN!!!
Now the rest of us need to get to work, and try and join him!

Not sure if it's the most recent FM radio appearance for a Bandmixer but we've had a few of our songs played on the Homeboys program for local music on Windsor/Detroit radio station 89X. But it's on Sunday evenings so not many people have heard it.

WAY TO GO JIMMY!!!
It's been about 3 years since I had something played on radio.
Who else?
Come on... OUT WITH IT!!!

The problem is many people don't listen to radio anymore. Young people either have Zunes and IPods or are busy texting on their IPhones, and older people have become disillusioned and only listen to CDs or Sirius. I think Bandmix should start an online radio station and keep member's music on rotation.

Not a bad idea.
Some online radio shows have tens of thousands of listeners maybe even hundreds of thousands, with a worldwide audience. Although they tend to inflate their numbers.
Some people have made it big, being on large programs such as that, or by being mentioned in the hottest music blogs for finding new acts.
It is a digital world now, after all.
Have you guys seen the new 3D Televisions that are coming out soon?
Probably gonna be a fortune, and I could almost swear that I saw it reported, that new technologies have been created, allowing a 3D experience WITHOUT wearing glasses!

Can't imagine how that would work though, unless it is some form of holographic technology?

Thanks #1 for your kind words. Actually the songs on my profile are not the ones played on the radio; they were The Farleys songs "96 Eyes" and "Crooked Bitch". See The Farleys myspace.
