I've been answering the phone like that lately. Ppl seem taken aback by my sentiment. Dunno why. This year ain't over yet. It still might be possible to turn it around for the better, in some wierd way.

We've always eaten blackeye peas for luck. And every New Year, I light a fresh candle. There's some old witch spell that says you should go out on New Years Day & find the biggest rock you can carry, & bring it into the house. Put it on the hearth, & leave it there for the whole year.

Happy Old Year indeed. I started my new job in May, The Farleys celebrated our tenth anniversary and played some cool shows, I finished my Neon Black project, I moved my PA into a new practice space that is awesome and managed to hang onto my house even though I was unemployed for six months. So yeah, a decent year.

You have to thank god for all the small stuff..

I got my hands on 2 roger mayer pedals, an axis fuzz and an rocket octavia.

That about made my whole holiday, considering they were cheap.

You never know when life will coil up to strike you like the fangs of a poisonous snake. (and just as fast too)

The Band did well.
I got to play gunsmith for a while.
I got my old job back with a raise.
My wife and two of my band-mates survived MVAs that could have been fatal. ( and Ray had his wife with him too)
My father and my mother were cleared of cancer.

Not too shabby a year despite some minor setbacks.

There's another old superstition that says if you work your ass off good things will happen. That's my goal in 2010, work my ass off and it will be the year of fisherman bob, which will lead to the decade of fisherman bob.

Ahhh

I see we have the same strategy Bob.
