It's 11 PM & it just started to fall, here, Paul.

Last I checked, we're due for about 8-10 inches around these parts.

Hope the roads are OK by Sunday for practice. I wanna see if the new guy has learned anything yet. I sure hope he figures out that dratted dreaded effects pedal, too!

:?

Nice music room Paul we can't have basements here in Texas they would stay full of water being we are only about 4' above Sea level. Sure do wish I had a basement.

Yeah, when they said we were getting 18", I laughed. Now my cat has to burrow under it to go take a dump!! I just spent the last two hours piling snow up into 6'+ piles...no real reason, I just thought it would be fun...but then, I'm the guy that built a 10' Grim Reaper and posted it in my yard for Halloween.

I used to live in Boston area (1966-1971) and New Jersey (1971-1987). We had quite a few big Noreaster blizzards, in Boston in February 1969 (50 inches in one week) and in New Jersey in 1978 (two storms over 20 inches). I love big snowstorms. Kansas City is drier in the Winter and the storms usually move pretty quick. Biggest snowfall we've had here is about 14 inches (early 90's). Most storms in K.C. are 1-4 inches. I can't remember any storms over six inches in years. We might have a white Christmas this year, they are predicting a storm Thursday into Friday. It's ironic that some of the U.S. attendees at Copenhagen had to leave early to beat the snowfall. So much for global warming...

The weather here is boring as usual, just the way I like it. We got a little dusting but nothing major.

We ended up with 22 inches.

I've come to the conclusion that I hafta either move where there's lots of snow, to keep me in shape for the shoveling bit, or go somewhere it never snows, so I never hafta go through these lil aches & cramps & agonies again. The ribs...the back...the shoulders...wah wah wah...damn I've become a crybaby in my old age!

I was having trouble with my chain saws too. I eventually got 'em fixed, but now, of course, all the wood I cut is out there buried somewhere. I'm gonna have a pissy day tomorrow looking for it. That's what I get for putting it off like I did...but since when do we ever get snow like this in Dec? Last time we got anything over a foot, it was in April. I'm gonna be grumpin' for a frikken week...AND of course band practice had to be cancelled...AAAAAAAAAAARGH!

I need to put in some sort of heating system...I'm getting too old for this crap...between the wood splitting & shovelling I feel like I went 3 rounds with Tyson after someone told him what I think about him...

I shoveled a good bit. My sidewalk, the neighbor's, all the walks in front of both houses along the street, and a lot trying to dig out my van. We went south yesterday. No snow in ATL! I miss it. Hope it wont all be gone tomorrow.
