Pretty versatile too. Sounds like a different vocalist on each song, especially on "The Only Lady in the Room".

I gotta say, For only singin' for 10 years and less then 50 gigs under your belt, I'd say that's some excellent sounding stuff!
I'm not a big country fan, but your stuff is very listenable.

Personally I am not a fan of country music but it is still good music and your demos are quite good. I almost auditioned for a country band. WHat stopped me was that I had no saxophone. They wanted a girl who played the flute but they wanted me to also double on sax.

All of your songs are clear and very professional sounding. Are you doing the vocals?

now I don't like country either, but I'd have to disagree with the concensus here...

ROCK music is the dead dog of the world, if I was to make a $$-band today, it would be either Hip-Hop/urban, country, or indie-pop. Those are the only three genres that labels are even signing right now.

I, for one, am a country fan! I must say your songs are written, arranged, and performed very professionally. The songwriting is very good and the vocals have a nice timbre and vibrato - soothing to listen to. To me, the sound would fit in perfectly with your influences and other "new traditionalists" from the mid '80s through the '90s and in certain instances into the 2000s. I'm also very pleased that your sound isn't like the cheesy, pop-oriented country that's heard on the radio these days (in my opinion, that stuff isn't truly country music). Keep up the great work and best of luck to you!

That's kinda funny

It is hard for me to explain. I don't go lookin' for country music to listen to. But that doesn't stop me from giving a quick listen to it. I saw Clint Black in concert on A&E and I was quite impressed especially whe I saw him play drums on a cover for Josie by Steeley Dan. If Clint Black were to call and say "Mary, would you like to play some flute on my new song 'How Can I Miss You If You Won't Leave?' ?" I would say "Heck, yeah!" In other words, there is no music that I can think of that I do not like. I just tend to gravitate more towards jazz, rock, classical. Country has shares its roots with these different forms.

You're good at what you do. I like almost all well-played genres of music. I listen to some country. Recently on Jango I heard John McLeod for the first time. He's a relatively new country artist from Canada, he's actually a Canadian Indian. Absolutely love his voice, he's old school sounding country. I've been communicating with him via e-mails and even have tried getting him a gig at Whiskey Tango in the Kansas City area. Sorry to go off track, you've got excellent vocals. Are you in a band? Get some equally talented musicians around you with the same goals and you could go places...

The reality is in my area the various incarnations of CWM have a much larger following across all genrations than the other genre' combined.
Your music is well performed from what I can tell from here.
If it makes you happy..................... freakin do it!!

I can't handle country and western, I even have a dart board with Taylor Swift on it.
