How's everybody been?

I'm always recording and messing around with different compositions but most of them end up in the trash heap. This one kind of took on a life of it's own though. I watched a show on Phillip Glass a few weeks ago and it got me thinking about repetition in music and the process of layering different rhythms and progressions on top of each other. DJs and composers of the whole House/Trance genre have been doing this for decades but I tried to take it in a slightly different direction. All the instruments except the drums and percussion are played by me, generally not very well LOL It's in my profile called Ingeminant Passage

Any comments, criticisms, suggestions or especially offers to replace some of my weak guitar work with good stuff are welcome.

Thanks 8)

Damn, K! Took me a sec to realize that it's in 4/4. That's a pretty sneaky lil piece, ain't it? Leave it to a bass player to come up with the strange!

This is way kool, but not something that your average musician can relax to, imho. It sounds so random, yet it's quite precise. Well done!

I don't think I ever listened to any of your stuff before.

"Yin To Yang" is very progressive, too. It sounds like Celtic music played on eastern instruments until it gets rockin'. Very listenable & I love it!

"A Good Day" is yet another good one. Man, I like your stuff! This is more what I'd expect from a good jazz bass player.

I dunno how I missed your music, before, Koolin, but I'm glad you pointed it out to me. Thanks! You got other stuff in the wings for us?

I like the title of the new one. I just wonder - if I were to play Ingeminant Passage, would I Preternaturally Ejaminate, or could I hang with the consistancy of the Gelatinous Buoyant Flow? That's always the first question that comes to mind when you hear something new, isn't it?

Thanks Phil, It's always great when someone I respect "gets" my stuff. I do tend to compose a bit out of the norm. I guess that's what happens when a bass player is forced to dream up all the other parts himself LOL.

I have a few more tunes on my site which is in my sig. The earlier stuff is pretty rough but you might like the tune called "Something New"

I guess that would depend on how long ago you last ingeminated a passage.

Thanks Sans, I'm glad you liked it. :D

Anybody else? Anybody listen to it and say to themselves, "that lead guitar is pretty lame, I could do it much better" LOL

Koolin I wrote via your site and expressed how much I liked your style.
Not very far removed from where I will be (I think) as regards style sometime soon.

Very good!

Very cool stuff. I definitely hear the Glass influence. I love fusion, especially Return to Forever and Mahavishnu Orchestra.
