This is my music communuty and I have to share my experience with y'all. I have been quite busy with music lately. The gigs have actually been classically based. I did a concert today ( paying gig ) in the living room of an estate. I had an accompanist and we did classical selections of Teleman ( A friend of J.S.Bach ), Paul Koepke ( born in Ohio ), Joachim Anderson and others. The second half is a quasi jazz thingie featuring selections from the Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano by Claude Bolling. Then I ended the program with "Coffee Break" which is on my profile but it is my arrangement as a flute solo.

Well, all in all, we were adored. That was priceless worht all the work and preparation. Just wanted to share that. 8)

Yeah, my son thought so too :P I almost took him with me as a roadie but he's been to so many of these functions that I decided he needed a break. But I must say that I get the same rush no matter what music I am playing. I was asked to play tomorrow at a church function. I will be there but I have no idea what I will be playing. :? I might figure out some chord changes for Coffee Break and have the guitar teacher accompany me. I think he can handle 3 chords

Well, he just needs to be big enough to carry my makeup case and sweet potato pie. I can carry everything else.

Well, he also knows Taikwando ( sp? ) so he doubles as my body guard.

Will a Gung fu master killer do?

I'm glad you've got some cool musical stuff going Mrs Mary.
I find myself starving at present for the slow rebuild of the band.

Alas, this too shall pass.

Almost, Gung Fu Master NINJA Killa who's looking for a date.

I'm really impressed with everyone's comments. I would have luvvved having you all there listening to Midori and me. THat would have been priceless.

Rhythm Man, Glad you like it...There's more to come.

Chip, I've been quite busy. I even played tonight at a church...not planned or rehearse. Last minute gig to help support the music store where I work. Tomorrow I am teaching flute lessons. To think that I was musically idle 2 years ago.
