Having said that, I really hope that my views haven't pissed anyone off too much.

I do see another possible outcome or two, though, bob.

People keep talking about DUE PROCESS for the terrorists. There is NO DUE PROCESS for war criminals. Never has been, never will be. Somebody mentioned something about 25 being found innocent and released. RELEASED is the operative word. These people were found innocent BY THE MILITARY. THE MILITARY IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR TRYING SUSPECTED TERRORISTS. Our civil courts are reserved for American citizens and foreigners who are NOT terrorists and war criminals. That is the crux of this matter. DUE PROCESS IS NOT A PRIVILEGE FOR TERRORISTS. By transfering known terrorists (or even alleged terrorists) to the American court system we are saying there is the possibility that America is to blame for there being terrorists in the first place. The terrorists will NOT be on trial in this case. America WILL be on trial. It will be a showcase for terrorists to tell the world how America is responsible for terrorism. I find it an INSULT that our own leaders would even consider it DUE PROCESS to try terrorists in our court system. Lame Duck Obama is making such a HUGE political risk that by definition I think he is a one term President, and former Vice President Lamer Duck Biden will serve one-term as well....

Okay, I can see that. They aren't Americans. No due process. Okay...although I think it odd that we claim these are inalienable rights, which is why we put them in our Constitution. If they are such, these ppl are due the same justice that we enjoy, while they're in our country, or in our jails. But okay, no due process, if that's how you want it.

What I CANNOT see is holding someone for over 7 years before you even begin to determine if they are indeed a terrorist. That, imo, DOES make us "the bad guys." And since it was the Reps what did this, I think the Dems have a good chance...& Obama will prolly be their guy again.
