Hey there,

Im looking for a cello player but it seems that the site doesnt offer this in the listings that i can see? there are no "cellists wanted" or "available" so it makes it hard to place an add when it cant be listed..Is there anyway you guys can possibly add it to the list? rather then just have "other" i would think cello would be just as popular as violin or fiddle.

Thanks Kindly :)

P.S I think your site is amazing, so glad i stumbled across it. Thanks for having me.

You can include that in your profile. If a cellist is honestly looking for work or some sort of musical outlet they will come to you. I've visited with many members throught their personal messages even if flute was not listed. Are there any other stringed instruments listed such as violin ? perhaps list that and see what happens. Hey, do you need a flute player?

Oh, hey I see we are neighbors. I can direct some cellists to you. I teach in Tustin and in Artesia.

"We Belong in The Sea" is a perfect cello-esque piece isn't it. 8)

I'm insulted that they left out us ballalikanists, & us zytherists, not to mention the psaltrians! And what about the poor ignored hammer dulcimators?

Only if you use the correct term - "triangulator."

Hammer Dulcimers are excellent instruments.
But I'll bet that less than 1 out of 1,000 musicians know how to play one.

When I lived in Ohio, I had gigs with a dulcimerist ( ? ) . We did many Xmas gigs together. It was one of the big dulcimers that sat on a stand and played with the various hammers.

I've messed around with a few, RM. Dddonnie even had a cpl in his store at one time. They are MUCH more interesting than "mountain dulcimers!"

The band "Trapezoid" plays them almost exclusively, & they live right down the road. ("Right down the road" is a country expression that means "somewhere within a 50 - mile radius," in this case, the ppl I've met live about 20 miles away.)

Wonderful instruments, which sound good either hammered or tipsy...er...hammered or plucked...yeah, that's it!

Why wouldn't BM just have a person fill in a blank for instruments played? Problem solved! There are too many instruments to list, really, not to mention sub-species like "tenor or alto or baritone or soprano" sax, & such. When someone plays something out of the ordinary, I sit up & take notice.

Eh...they haven't listened to me thus far...why should anything ever change?
