I agree that there is so little available in the industry right now that most don't have a lot of "music news" to post on here, so "other" subjects creep into the mix.
Still in all it is a great community here and my favorite band site!

Good Luck Everyone!

Hayden!!!!

Where you been hidin' brother?

;-)

You missed some good fireworks after "Rev. Ace Ventura" came back!

LOL ;-)

Just kiddin' Mikey!

I've just been keeping a low profile Craig, and going through all o the bullshit offer's I keep getting.

I wasn't targetting anyone; just describing what a vistor will see.
.
We all know each other, pretty well, I guess.
So, Chippy, I'm just talking to myself?
Geez - and we need enemies to get good feedback?
Then maybe I should 'butt-out,' eh?' I don't need enemies . . .
And, Craig I recognize your 'dig' about starting music topics.
Dunno if it was aimed at me, maybe not, - but over the years, I've posted hundreds and hundreds of threads about music, here.
Yep, I've been active here for years; so has Bob, I seem to recall . . .
I don't remember every post I made, but I suspect at least 99% of my postings are about music. None of my posts were ever designed to fan the flames . . .
In the last 6 months I haven't posted much; been too busy to just talk about it . . .
.
And hell, of course I understand folks 'just talking.'
Dunno, but I'm not one to argue online. I don't have a need to argue and convince folks to agree with me.
I'd rather just play my guitar, instead . . .
. . . maybe folks are against what I'm saying, but arguments are just not in my lifestyle . . .
I always try to give folks the benefit of the doubt.
I discuss things to dozens of folks, face-to-face every week.
Sometimes it's hard to figure out how the written word is meant, at times, eh?
You know, like: "Was he slightly diasagreeing with me, or was he calling me an ass?
Hard to tell, when they aren't in front of you.
.
Anyway, I degress . . .
Things haven't been well for me lately. As long as there's more positives here for me, than negatives, I'll hang around.
.
But, the less this site is about music, the less interested I am; pretty simple. That's all I need to say, I guess.
I just like to compose songs, record, and play my guitar.
. . .
Guess that all puts a bull's eye on me . . . crap . . .

I like talking to musicians about music and other subjects. Most musical topics I've started are promptly ignored, except for two which I started two years ago and are still in the top five of the bands and albums category.

So was I really. No RM I wasn't asking you or anyone else to butt out. I wouldn't dare to be as presumptuous to think anything I said made the slightest difference to this cock up of a world.

I'm in many, many forums too, most stay on topic but of course there will be interesting threads that peeps want to look at and reply to.

I'll say no more on this. Although sometimes a reader could be forgiven for thinking this were a forum dedicated to Political, KKK, Pseudo religious anti Government Militias.

Not "general music discussion".

I'll butt out now

Alan,

I just get tired of being chastised. Sorry.

I think I contribute alot to the forum here, both in terms of more activity when I participate, it seems, but also I post ALOT of music related topics, and they are often things no one else finds or knows about, I also post very detailed help on copyrights, marketing, starting a band, etc... (some of which should have been made stickys ;-) ) and I even often post photos and graphics, or screen captures for the sites I invite you guys to check out, just to make them more visually interesting for you guys, or anyone lurking.

That stuff takes time.

I "believe" my contributions are more positive than detracting.

I could be wrong though.

Jimmy,

I don't think that anyone "ignored" your posts, like that.

Check the "views" out, rather than just depending on the "responses"

But that is EXACTLY the kind of thing I am talking about.

Why do you guys think Music Forums are kind of dead usually?

"Hey guys, the new Tool album came out today!"

And?

Sometimes people don't have anything to say about that.

They like Tool, the original poster told them the song was out, but they may not bother writing back "I'll check it out!" but yet they read the thread and checked the link out.

Not everything is going to get a response.

Politics and Religion do though! ;-)

I'm sorry for my comments on this forum earlier but Craig I think you contribute just a little too much with the 'WE ARE GOING TO DIE' stuff.

Congrats on the things that you are doing musically I wish you nothing but success of course. Chastisement is for Children. If you consider yourself a Child I have no problem with that at all but I know you are a fully grown man. What you post here you also post on Facebook Craig. I really don't need to see it three times over. Do you do this on Myspace too? I'll go look in a minute or are we all so special, your friends that is?

I'd love to meet you face to face because writing on forums is frankly a garbage way to meet people though it does break this ice some.

That said BOLD lettering never appealed to me, that and Exclamation marks are a real turn off to a conversation in which only one person is heard.

Please stop acting like a victim whilst using the medium as propellent.

Sorry brother.

I must have missed it, since it was in the middle of all of THIS STUFF:

Craig I've removed you from my FB list purely based upon personal reasons.

All this stuff we create, it is our doing and no one else's. I admire your talents just like everyone else does. I just think that if you up the anti just a minuscule 2% you'll be there with music hero's and I don't wish you any ill.

However there are 2 sides to a coin six sides to a die and each can land in a different place based on principle of throwing or tossing.

What I said mainframe was in my heart. I cannot take it back because I said it. Good or Bad.

So, after all the personal attacks, you removed me from Facebook too?

Wow!

When I dole out punishment, I usually just stick to one thing at a time. :-(

Sorry you feel offended.

I can't recall saying anything unkind to you personally.

If I did, I apologize for hurting your feelings.

And you are right, none of us can take things back, once stated aloud.

But...

You "CAN" always add me back to Facebook if you get over this. ;-)
