I think having to deal with many unpleasantries daily makes nurses have a twisted sense of humor. It's a defense mechanism. If they took it serously all of the time, they would all end up as crrazy as I am.

Yeah, we both know that is misleading to say the least. In economic turmoil, businesses close down many stores, and keep only the most profitable. They shave overhead and shave employees, to bring the bottom line back to some semblance of profitability. Meanwhile, normal people, the middle class and lower than middle class, have been put out of work, lost their homes, moved in with others, friends or family, and applied for whatever government assistance is available.

When businesses have shaved everything they could, and begin to make a profit again, then yes, on the books, things seem to have improved. Profitability has returned, stocks may even have begun to rebound, etc... But this does not mean that life has improved yet, for the average American. Because a company has resumed some proitability, does not mean they also have enough spare cash to risk expansion again.

And with all the taxes Obamanomics requires, it is unlikely they will have it in the near future either. And without expansion or sufficient new businesses, then employment will remain stagnant. If this occurs, then businesses will not profit greatly, because there is just not enough disposable cash avilable to normal Americans to spend as they previously had. If they aren't spending, then businesses have sparse profits and bad holiday seasons.

Obama's taxes are going to go up even further. Many of them are not called "taxes" but that is what they are. Schemes like Cap and Trade, and raising taxes on the wealthy to subsidize everyone else's health care, not to mention how much debt and interest on that debt that has to be paid back...

Things are not going to get better.

They are going to get worse.

It's a house of cards waiting to fall even further.

If I am not mistaken, Obama will eventually reach TRIPLE the deficit that we had under Bush. But most networks won't bemoan that fact. Wasn't Bush evil, at least in part, for increasing the deficit? Obama is on the way to TRIPLE what occured under Bush, and many say he is not anywhere near finished with that debt accumulation.

Where is the outcry over Obama's policies? It seems they have made things MUCH WORSE, not better. Maybe he has borrowed the playbook from that Military Leader during the Vietnam war, who spoke the infamous line...

"We had to destroy the village to save it."

I think all governmental officials are evil or have alternative motives. What makes this president any different, the color of his skin. I think not. Although he presumes to be helping the economy, what help has he actually given? Are these stimulus packages being funded from his or congress pockets? Are they living from moment to moment wondering were their next meal is going to come from? I think not.

When the goverment actually starts "sweeping around their own front doors", and "dishing out of their own pockets" then I will possibly believe that they are "by the people, for the people".

We are no less important than they are.

yes i was actually afraid of this. it sucks the reason for missing out on the thing you love is because of gas and money. one of the people who emailed me to audition, decided not to because of gas reasons. i am an hour away from my college and that does take a lot of gas, so imagine how it would be if i packed a lot of heavy equipment in my car? damn these middle class dollars. i wish i get my degree already.

HAHAHAHA! i completly agree with you! i work as a tech and im studying to be a nurse. you have to learn to just laugh at the stress of all things. if not you go bulistic! think of all the "confused" patients who will actually make you crazy! LOL!

So okay already. I went to the Dr. The nurse took my BP, & said that it's high & I should consider having things checked out so's I can get BP meds. I responded with "I won't take them. I won't become a slave to the American pharmaceutical companies."

She actually took a step back, & gave me a most curious look.

"I've never had anyone ever say that to me before," she said.

The Dr came in & looked in my ear. He told me that there is some scarring on my ear drum. I told him I knew all about it, cuz there have been a few times my ears actually bled from infection. He said that my right ear is very infected, & that it looks "redder than his tie," which was quite red. He wrote me 2 prescriptions - 1 for a nasal spray & 1 for more of those damnedable antibiotics. He said I should use the spray year-round to avoid more infections.

WHY do they seem so f*cking anxious to get me on meds full-time? I asked him about that, & he suggested that I use them "seasonally," if it bothers me that much. He also assured me that many ppl use them year-round, like I should think that that's a healthy alternative to actually SOLVING THE PROBLEM.

See....THAT's why I don't go to doctors. All they wanna do is make me a junky to their system. F*CK THAT!!!!

It's no wonder that I'm such an angry man...gas jumped a frikken quarter over the last 2 weeks, too...& now they're only selling those damned non-flammable cigarettes around here...I'm ready, Lawd! Come git me!

So, I went to WallyWorld to get my 'scrips done. The "drop off" window was caged up. I asked the woman standing there what was up with that, & could I drop off my 'scrip. She told me that I could, but that it wouldn't be ready until "sometime after 3 tomorrow afternoon."

DAMN I hate that store...gonna wait 'til tomorrow to drop it off somewhere else...I've waited this long, what's another day, eh?

It's a shame, cuz it's right there where I pick Jace up. Now I'll hafta drive & drive, like my ancestors did, to get my meds...

Guess I'll just go back to the garlic blue tooth for the night. I have lessons tonight. I wonder what my students will think of my stinky ear...

Wish I could offer some helpfull advice for Phil right now, but I guess I am all tapped out.
When I was a kid, we hardly ever went to the Dr.
When ever I had an ear ache, my mom would make me chew an asperin, then I'd spend a day or two laying with my sick ear down on a heating pad so it would drain.

His wife called me earlier before practice, said she was going to sit on him so he would not come out to play with his 103 fever.
Damn now, that is a dedicated drummer!

Been feeling sorry for myself today because I was tired.

I figger, if I lose this extra 30 lbs I'm carryin' around, & quit smokin', that tha'll go a loooooooong way toward solving the BP stuff. I know I'm a pretty healthy guy, except for this ear & sinus crap, but perhaps the quitting of the smoking can solve that, as well.

At least I've got a plan, even if the stupid-assed doctors can't seem to find one for me!
