However it may be necessary to differentiate the scat in order to determine if you are in the area frequented by Black Bears or the Grizzly's range.
Black Bear scat though large is usually dark in color and contain the husks of seeds berries and fruit. Grizzly scat is lighter in color larger, contains small bells and smells of pepper spray.

Hey vander - now that I got the silliness out of my system, I'll give you an honester answer.

I really don't mind that the native tribes have the right to hunt & fish year-round for free. Imho, this allows them to hold to their roots, their beliefs, & their culture. That is something we've all but wiped out for so many cultures that it's refreshing to see when any culture is allowed to continue in its original path, in any way. Thus far, in my country, it's illegal for them to even practice their religious rites, which I think is a crock of sh!t, but for some reason we just can't seem to leave anyone alone...

If I were pure Native, I wouldn't give much of a rat's ass what the authorities thought of my activities...(which is pretty much how I live most of my life, anyway.)
