There are a lot of people that I've met that are really good people. I call most of them friends. I don't hover much these day however because there is just so much SPAM on here.

No one looks after it, no one deletes it. Makes me think sometimes.... 911 for instance. People (Some must have!) seen something, heard something odd prior to that day yet said nothing, thought about their own deal and went on, yet 911 happened.

Having been in this deal a long time I cannot tell you on a count just how many forums have been riddled with this stuff prior to falling of a twig and become very embarrassing.

I've said enough now so I'll pee off.

Amen Chippy,

I dont get on here as much as I used to but its just because Ive gotten so busy with "real" things. These forums are great places to get ideas and share ideas. But it seems that since Ive been here Ive seen a lot of people come and go. Just the nature of the game. If you arent getting what you want from a forum then you just move to another one.

I hope things are going good in your life Chippy, have a rocking weekend. Ive got a sitin gig tonight and then my band is headlining a Fall Festival tomorrow night, then back to the regular monday night gig monday night, so Im busy. C-YA

I think most (not all) people here spend more time on the keyboard than the fretboard, anyway.

I've done my practice session. (may do some more latter)
I've worked on my new song.
I,ve worked on the music from last nights rehearsal with Audacity and E mailed some of it to the band.
I've made arrangements with Audio Heaven Studio for a meeting Monday.
I've tweeked the inputs / outputs on the PA based on last nights recordings.
And with > 6k posts, I probably have more keyboard than fretboard time too.
Now I'm just waiting on Jeanette to get home from work.
I consider my "friends" here as an intigral part of my music and have learned sooo much from them.
Nothing wrong with wasting a little BS time too.

Cheers Chippy. :D

Rythym if I spent less time on the keyboard I might be better on the fretboard!

But I still enjoy this place and most, I said most of the people that come on here!

The ones I dont enjoy I just avoid, I will take positive folks who want to get better, but get negative and I wont interact.

This place can be a great learning tool if you approach it that way, or it can be a slam fest, the choice lies with the user.

I just ignore the spam.....................................

im new so i cant say ive spent more time on the keyboard than the fretboard. my biggest complaint is that it doesnt seem like anyone(in my city) is even interested in playing music. ill play with anyone regardless of style, age, or experience. its just about playing music to me.

Couple of suggestions, rycky - you say in your profile that you'd rather play with ppl your age-group, yet you don't tell us your age. It also seems at odds with what you are saying here. You don't mention what you play. (I'm assuming it's guitar, but I dunno for sure.) For equipment, you say "im strapped." Doesn't gimme much hope that you can play with my band, ya know? Are you gonna need to borrow an axe? an amp? Are you really looking for bagpipes? Finally, there is no music on your profile. You should get a recording together & post it in MP3 format, so we can hear your abilities.

I'd guess that your chances will be better if you address these issues.

Good luck & welcome to the forum.

It's funny. I went to check on my profile, & it doesn't show my age, either. When I went to edit it, I noticed that they HAD asked for my birthdate, & I'd filled it in. Therefore, my age should be shown, right? Perhaps that's only for paid members...
