Very Nice! I thought about whipping one of those up but keep getting distracted with something else. You can never have too many drives or fuzzes IMHO

the thundercheif is as advertised... sounds much like one of those solid state marshals - tons of crunch- I highly recommend.

Just an opinion...

Check out Carl Martin and Red Witch brands.Analog and hand built.Hit the front of a good amp with these between a good guitar and FEEL the difference.PODS and multi-FX unit SUCK TONE especially at any volume level.I have owned dozens of pedals and experimented at loud levels plenty.If you use more than 3 "true bypass" pedals you will lose top and bottom end.So use an isolating device like the CARL MARTIN Octa-switch...no need to tap dance and the TONE remains intact.

"Analog and hand built" dang near everthing on my board is analog and hand built by me... tho I am very familiar with redwitch and carl martin.

not sure I agree w you 100% afa sucking tone...
crappy buffers suck tone... not the digital circuit.
you can build a digital circuit on a true bypass loop and it will be just as quiet in bypass mode... and many digital pedals sound great IMO... especially things like the eventide, lexicon, etc.

but I do agree that almost nothing trumps a good analog distortion in front of a semi-clean tube amp.

I just built a few more pedals (a proco rat, rangemaster, and am mxr micro amp) and took a shot of my collection-so-far and wanted to share. If you've got a pedal setup... and a pick of it... post it here.

So far i only use one, overdrive, sometimes with chorus that's it, no mumbo jumbo.

And now...I may be getting rid of my entire rig to go small and digital...(Something I swore I'd never do)

I just jammed with a friend who needed a guitarist for an emergency fill in.

He was playing the same two guitars I use on stage..a Les Custom and a PRS CE24....but his rig weighs about 20% of what mine does.

My Marshall is what it is...there's no sound that compares...but...if you're looking for that tinkling crystal in your clean tone..you're not going to get it from a Marshall...if you're looking for that ultra sustained tube compression of a HiWatt overbiased head..you're not going to get it..

So......I think I'm gonna trade off....instead of lugging a 100Lb Cabinet and a 70Lb head around...(not to mention that the G System is built like a freakin Abrahms tank and weighs close to 20Lbs too)...I'm gonna go to the 10Lb axe....lol

This guy was playing through the Axe, into a Mesa Boogie 20/20 Stereo rack amp (20Watts per side) and it was every bit as loud as my 120 Watt Marshall.

I get the impression you are playing a marshal valvestate... based on a mesa 2020 competing with a marshal "120watt"

but anyway... something to be said for multifx... tis why I still have my multifx setup... and fractal is about the best there is... and sure: you can't get a hiwatt sound from marshal... but you are only fooling yourself if you think you can get it from any multifx unit.

ever other month someone says "ooh, check out that new xyz... it sounds just like a plexi" and I'm always hopeful... but always disappointed.

so when I want that crystaline chorus sound... I play my 2112 setup... when I want that classic booster into a tube front end I play my ts808 into my combo... neither one can do what the other can.
