Can't find that any where else online. :)
Agreed. I think it's way more interesting for me to hear when any of you frequent forum contributors come out with a CD. I'll know a little more about the personalitiies of the artist. It won't be "dry." It's also nice to hear the trials and tribulations that everybody is going through. Part of our band problems have a lot to do with what's going on in our society. For example, the smoking ban has put a fair number of venues out of business. The economy is limiting the money we can earn at gigs. A lot of the things we talk about here may on the face appear to have nothing to do with music, but in reality have EVERYTHING to do with music. For example, we are well aware of Sans' religious views which has a huge bearing on his bands' original material. My originals are for the most part very down to earth, and some show my sarcastic wit as well. So what we talk about here IS very appropriate to our music...

Yes Bob we're in a "cooling period" since 2002.
Cap & trade and Carbon Tax are the catalyst's behind this dupe!

Lets not forget that The Patriot Act was already written on 911; these maniacs will stop at nothing to further their agenda... there's a Hitler born every day!

And this is my last political post; you can't show the blind anything
This WASN'T a political post for me. I wasn't trying to show anybody anything. I was just making some common sense observations. Like I was FREEZING my ass off October 10. Like where's all the hurricanes? Like what happened to the Earth the last seven years (thanks for correcting me, the Earth has cooled for seven years, not three). Like why has Mars heated up? Just wondering that's all...

With all due respect, you put 6 billion bacteria on a fresh meatball, I guarantee those bacteria will consume and multiply with no regard towards their own future demise. Humans seem to be equally as dense as to cause and effect.

I guess what I'm getting at is that the GW issue is the diversion. The same things we would want to do to stop GW are the SAME things needed to stop our own demise (from ourselves). Whether or not GW is real doesn't change the fact that we need to stop multiplying like there's no tomorrow, develop clean renewable energy and develop a manageable food chain that can feed the planet today and in the future.. sustainably.

Keeping you and I arguing over whether GW is real, and what causes it- is exactly what the powers that be want from us, so they can continue to profit off environmental irresponsibility and social destruction.
I'm not even arguing about global warming. I'm arguing about MAN-MADE global warming. I agree with you wholeheartedy about pollution and very much agree that we are approaching a serious overpopulation. But there are some signs that our environment is improving in some areas. For example, the duck census that is taken every year showed a dramatic INCREASE in the population of almost all species of ducks in North America. Also, the water quality of many lakes and rivers has also INCREASED in recent years. We had a tremendous worry about bee populations last year. Just in my casual observations this year, and asking some of my friends who are into gardening, there was a big increase in local bee populations in the K.C. area (I don't know if beekeepers across the USA had an increase, I'll look it up). With proper management AND legislation to decrease pollution we CAN have a better environment. That's been proven everywhere. AS far as worldwide population control, there you get into some serious moral issues. Who is to be forced to have abortions? Who is to be forced not to have a daughter or a son? Do we start eliminating the unborn based on certain traits or characteristics they may have? Who decides that? Mankind IS at a crossroads. Then when everybody on Earth follows a mandate (one world order rears its ugly head) then our personal freedom and independence disappears. I'm sorry if I brought up a big can of worms, sometimes I digress...

Well said Bob, Humble enough to put up a song my band did 20 years ago ,recorded on cassette, and attempted to salvage with a little studio help.
When we played there were maybe 10 people in the place,DWI laws were being strictly enforced etc etc.
The only reason I put it up was because in the topic, most boring bass line, some one mentioned Willie Dixon.
I mentioned him also, in the second verse. Just a stupid thing I can share, I will probably never play that song live ever again.

Who said anything of yours was stupid? As far as playing a song live or not, that's up to you. I've been doing this band thing for decades and I'm always surprised what goes over and what doesn't. You never know how a crowd will react. If the particular song you're talking about is played in front of people and they have no reaction to it, then either change it or dump it. Years ago we played a couple of songs I couldn't stand. They were almost always the audience favorites each time we played them. There's no accounting for taste...
