Gee and to think I don't post anything but my passport pic.
Wonder why that is "Fat Girl"?

LOL

If I was as fat as you and sounded as bad, I'd just burn my pa and have done with it.

Either that or get a few ugly tattoos to match that hound dog sound of yours.

Keep crying, it's all going to be ok in the am whether or not ya like it..

Poor Miggie Lou.. Kinda like gristle on a piece of meat.

I'll save you the insult of posting your fat ass visage on this thread or any other. Now you need to do 500 more crunches and that's not your mouth moving on the candy bars, fattie.

Crip, stfu. Don't get involved.
If you live in a glass house, do not throw rocks.
With all the drool and bs in your life, I don't think you really want to participate cause YES I will go there.

Go hang out with Chippy, he needs a pal right now and you might do him some good.

I answered Bobdop, but f**k it.
Ya want a little course change, bring it you morons.
I got all the tattooed, fat, retarded, married, moronic, flat pitched, biker jokes I can carry and then some.

I got enough nasty stuff for all comers and a few more. You mix reality with some outright hostility and you'd be surprised at how ugly it can get.
And if ya get salty, come on over. I'd be happy to educate you on how it is, repeatedly.

Captain, among other things you're too hung up on looks. If you honestly don't like Miggie's voice, that's okay. You're entitled to that opinion. But you're definitely too hung up on looks. Who cares how fat or skinny or ugly somebody is. What does that have to do with music? It's simply SUPERFICIAL to put somebody down on looks like that's the all important factor in their musicianship. Here's yet another problem you have with women Captain. Apparently if they are not drop dead gorgeous then they can't qualify as musicians. And you're not the only one. That's the way the music industry has been for decades, really ever since the advent of MTV. Whenever a "hot" new artist appears on the scene I immediately close my eyes and LISTEN to what they sound like. Is their voice redeeming? Is their music redeeming? I don't give a flying fu*k what they look like. I DON'T CARE.

I think you're a hottie Migs

Capt, I have much tolerance for the retarded, but you are beyond what my tolerance can handle. I really wish there was an ignore button on this site so that we wouldn't have to be subjected to your stupidity. You are a fat, creepy lookin' retard and you have the nerve to call someone else fat? Self loathing creates the hostility you carry, and lack of getting laid makes you the punk you are. Do us all a favor and save up a hundred bucks, buy yourself a piece of ass, and grow the F$@% up! Do be careful though, wouldn't want you spilling your seed and reproducing. Good luck in finding yourself a non-discriminating whore, perhaps the back alleys are your best bet. Until you find someone ELSE to release the toxic baby batter you carry, I suggest you stay away from any keyboards.

Migs, smoke a blunt, relax, and rest assured you are sexy. The pud-whackin-dickmo-epileptic-penis-sore-butthole surfer doesn't know what he's talking about! ;)

I hear ya Capt. My post was inappropriate and my only excuse was that I was from a mixture of Xanax, Codeine and calalozapam and I was not in the right mindset. I have no right to get involved with other peeps personal beefs as this is supposed to be just about music and I should just stick to that. You have every right to be pissed at my post and I've gotta mind my own fukkin' busines.... It'll all pan out eventually! Won't happen again.... I'll just stick to music!

BTW I honestly don't see anything out of the ordinary with your pic... just looks like a normal pic... Was just curious as to what you looked like as it was brought up..... Din't make any negative comments on it.... just curious...

Mig, I would appreciate you edit your post with my quote as I don't want any part of this debacle as it's nothing to do with me.... If he wantsta post up a personal pic, that's his perogative... noone else's... after all, I wouldn't post up any pics of any forum member without their permission no matter how much disdain I had for them.... Some things should be considered sacred.... If anything, do it for me, OK sweetie?

*Reason for this post

Capt., in no way, shape or form has ever lambasted me and I'd like to keep it that way!

I find it mildy amusing that if I post pictures that the female subject in question has on her account, the correlation on the term "fattie" becomes obvious. (chuckle)

Really the only issue I have with her is that I don't care for her music.

When you get too many people involved in the argument, you collectively decide the outcome before the armistice treatise is penned. But the proverbial payload is still ready to be armed and deployed. Any acts of vandalism shall be interpreted as an outright act of verbal war. lol

Did I mention 1<3 you Crip? (bends over and pats ass) You can kiss it, mfer.. lol

And the so the song remains the same, ooh rah.. Is this the face of a crazy man you ask, Perhaps..I say, Perhaps..

It’s a fine line that separates the kind of vision or mind-frame one could identify as genius from the kind of madness that can lead to an impromptu suicide.

So any of you planning to commit suicide, you better go do it now and avoid the rush. lol Otherwise, stfu as it's a forum and ya need to remember that you cannot mind control the whole world, just your little part of it.

Migs,

"Old threads never die, they just fade away, or perhaps return to the original topic , if it's a good one."

Anyways, ... that being said, in my experience, burnt carbon residue has always had an adverse effect on my vocal abilities.

As pertains to liquids, beer and anything iced is a no no.
In situations where I'm expected to hold down lead vocals for an entire gig, but desire to ignite the ol brain cells with a bit of spark, I might opt for a glass of water with a bit of Scotch.

You have a good voice and it's definitely worth preserving.
You also seem to have very good resistance to abusive heckling., a very good trait in our business!

We have a very good Jazz scene in our part of Pennsylvania, you would fit right in. (too bad the friggin' taxes are so high  )

later,
Howlin'

Thanks Howlin! You know im finding that everybody is pretty much right about the way "smoke" in general will screw with your vocals. I think this thread helped me alot cause I tried almost every trick that was mentioned! I think it has been more beneficial for me to sip a shot of warm liquore through the night instead of smoking a J with the band inbetween sets. I tried it last night during band practice and we jammed on till 3am (thank god the bassest practice house is in the middle of the woods lol). And my voice was still going strong, so im thinking sippin shots is the way to go, but no more than three, or miggie lou becomes Tipsy Lou. I dont have the biggest tolerence for the alcohol hehe

Hecklers are my best motivators dude, they only knock me down to let me build myself up stronger, they help me alot more than they know

You know I hear alot that ide be better off singin somewhere other than TX lol! I used to live in Lakewood CO (15 min outside of Denver) for 3 yrs and I never ever had a problem finding a Jazz band or getting gigs at all. And then I move to TX and Its like someone stopped my musical heartbeat. Im in a band right now but they tend to only want to play country or classic rock and thats it! Any mention of Funk or Jazz really ticks them off lol. Every band that I run into wants me to sing things like Stevie Ray Vaughn and ZZ Top. Now I love me some classsic rock and I have much, much respect for it, but its just not what I want to do right now.

I do have an audition on Oct 3rd at the Houston Rock Center to be in a jazz/funk/r&b band! I have to learn Melanie Fionas "Give it to me right" and Stevie Wonders "Sir Duke" which has been a blessing cause its the absolute perfect range for me. Real easy songs, so hopefully I knock it out of the park!! Hey I will travel anywhere to play a booked gig so if duty calls in Pennsylvania or anywhere for that matter, ill be there, no lie hehe :D

You can cat. There's lots of great advice here. But don't think that you won't ever get any kind of resistance. If you wanna dish out opinions then get ready to take them no matter how they are served to you. People will speak their minds at your expense, and that's just life in general. Hopefully you'll never get into any conflicts :)

At 45 I have seen my share of strife, it seems the one sacred place ought to be the music. The one thing we ALL truly share in one form or the other, seems alot of people could read Victor Wooten's "The Music Lesson" I am not a fan of his bass playing as a whole, however his base knowledge of how we re born in one form or another already knowing music, that I don't see the argument.
