I'm not sure how many boxing fans I got out there but I just gotta say this fight was worth every penny!! I mean i'm happy for Mayweather but Marquez showed some tremendous heart in the ring! I think he's gonna come back stronger than ever for a rematch. And as for Sugar Shane Mosley, he should have stayed his loud ass in the audience and waited his turn to take on Mayweather. I'm surprised Mayweather didn't K.O his ass right there. I can't wait to see that fight :)

I love HBO. :)

More of an MMA guy myself. But I love a good fight.
Missed this one, however Mayweather has great hands, and evasive skill.
A natural.

I've never been much of a sports watchin' guy, but lately, thanks to the wife's new addiction, I've been watching the MMA fights. They are really something to see, if you turm off the sound so's you can ignore Joe Rogan's screachy little voice. Damn I hate that guy! Every time he opens his mouth I dunno if I wanna punch it or have a epileptic seizure!

I saw him do some "comedy" one night - he isn't funny, either. How in the name of all that's holy did THIS guy get on tv?

I'm glad you enjoyed your boxing, Miggie.

I've watched MMA and I'm not really impressed. I guess if you're a martial artist of some kind it would be more interesting. It just appears to me that whoever can take the most punishment is the one who wins. I've seen some dirty and sometimes dangerous blows to the back of someone's head and the referee doesn't stop the action to penalize anybody. I'm much more of a boxing fan, and a big sports fan in general. Mayweather is one of the fastest boxers in history. I don't know how he would have fared against some of the great fighters in the 80's (Duran, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, etc.) but he might be the best boxer today. One of my disc golf friends recently retired from MMA. He is one CRAZY man. He took a lot of abuse recently so I'm glad he's out of the fighting game...

Timing, being in syncopation with the rythem of you opponent is primary.
Accuracy is secondary (at least in the stages it is learned)
Power third, and it is inhanced through speed at fourth.
But without some defensive/evasive skill, it's all useless.
