[quote="#1collaborator"]Ah the young and restless Give it all you got before you wake up 49 with a bad case of begeezers ! You got a great voice and a pretty face which in todays market puts you way ahead of most of us. Id give my right leg to have a singer like you playing in my band . Keep the songs coming I look forward to hearing them. And good luck !

Another day in Paradise !!![/qu

Begeezers!!! haha I love it! Man ide give my right eye to be in a seriouse band. I bet I could pull off a pirate patch hehe, Im having to leave my current band "The Dirty Maynardz" because they keep turning down high paying gigs for BS reasons. (mostley because of twitchy girlfriends, talk about p***y controle dude) Thier great musicians who just want to stay at home and jam. which is cool and all but its not where I want to be. Im not looking for fame, I just want to sing and make drunk people dance. Thats all lol :) SO Im currently a single singer now looking for a band who would much rather play on stage than in thier garage. But im having no luck at all, im a youngin with limited connections in the music world. But hey, isnt that where they all start?

Im having a hard time figuring out why a lot of em dont want to get out and play some quality shows. I've been promised a lot the past year or so only to be let down and discouraged by the attitudes of some fellow band mates. Once I hear " Im only in it for fun" I know theres no sense in booking a show because didly wont be able to make the show. I dont blame his girlfriend or wife , but thats the most popular excuse. If they want to stay at home in the garage more power to em. Im in it to have fun of course ,but playing in front of a crowd is a lot more than just fun. Ive scaled back my project to a short list of original tunes and have some of my kids backing me up and hope to have a disc completed by the years end. I Think after I get it done Im going to give up and sell a bunch of guitars and band equipment. It takes a lot of work and patience dealing with musicians today. I dont remember it being as difficult 20 years ago. Good luck finding a good band to complement that great voice you have. I think you should try out for one of the talent supershows . OOPS, I know Ill catch the devil for saying that! At least I didnt call em by name.

Maggie,

You should get a 3-4 song demo together from a good studio. Build a good looking but not over board website with a good promo photo, bio and a few songs (make sure they fade in and out until you own copyright them..people do get taken). Use this to find serious people. It works and makes you look professional...People are coming out of the woodwork with credentials to be a part of our mission and thats because we are taking the steps to be in control of our future and they see that...

It is very obvious you have serious talent and being a YOUNGIN you have the whole world ahead of you. The learning you will take from the process will be invaluable. I have learned a lot in the last few months and everything is happening so fast for us...It is a great feeling once you can see the direction you are heading and to do so with people who want the same thing..... P***sy control has no place in making the dream happen. Control yours and you will make what ever you want to happen...happen.

Just rememebr to do as much as you can as an artist to retain control of your music. The less risk, money and resposibility a record company has to invest then the better the odds are of getting somewhere. Music is more then art...it is a business so approach it as such. Be the package deal!

GOOD LUCK! YOU WILL FIND SUCCESS!

Ummmm... Miggie... my post wasn't meant in any way, shape or form to have any sexual innuendos in it! It was my silly way of letting you know that you have an awesome gift and I would be proud to have a vocalist of your stature in one of my bands! If you lived in my neck-o-the woods, I'd have you gigging out in no time flat!

Thanks fella! Man ide kill to be able to go anywhere and audition ! I miss the giggin so much and its only been 2 months, I think im goin to wither away lol. It seems like all the good bands left Houston TX and went to Austin and San Antonio or just every other state but TX. I cant find anything good down here and they all play the same tunes. Ive heard more versions of "Tush" than ide like to admit hehe

btw dont mind captn, he likes to tell people to FAQ off LOL ! some parents should really monitor thier childrens computer time

I'd be careful with this one Mr. Scott, I like pretty things, they make my day. :D

I'll wager that after she's cooked a damned good stew she rides a bareback horse and can shoot a nail from a barn door at 200 feet. Drinks Whiskey, beer and I'll wager thee again that she'll have your scalp after nightfall.

Of course if you drive yet another female from our ranks it would not be a complete surprise to me at least.
