Miggie - ANY drug will dry out your vocal cords, btw, & MJ seems to be one of the worst. Even eating it (I've tried that - pot butter cookies will knock you out if you ain't sure of the doseage, which changes every recipe, & sometimes even every cookie!) will seriously dry out your voice.

Stick with the warm water with a lil salt or vinegar if you're having problems...I've read that Pavaroti has several bags of lightly salted water that he has hidden in his costumes, & he sips it between singing to help his voice.

I opened the door so I could get the best leverage. It weighs 1600 lbs. With what I had removed.. maybe 1300. I wouldn't say it was easy to flip.

So it's water and frequent exercise to keep those pipes in line!

Anywhoz to everyone who gave me actual advice I do appreciate it!! I hate onions but im gonna try that salty chips one! AND the Southern Comfort shot sippen technique appeals to me as well! And of course lots of water and rest always helps! And I just got a vaporizer for my sticky (you can only get hydro or dirt in houston btw, too hard to grow kind) SO im going to put away the pipes and sweets and get to vaporizing! I think thatll really help with my voice! Im recording a new song this tuesday and ive been on the vaporizer for a week now so lets see if it helps! Thankyou to everyone for the advice! !!

Girl, if you smoke pot occasionally there will be effects to your vocals, but remember, there are millions of singers who smoke pot. Alot smoke cigarettes too. The best thing for your voice, is as Paul said, rehearsal. If you rehearse 20 hours for a 3 hour gig, your voice is seasoned for it. Dont smoke your ganga on the same day as the gig! You will be fine!
