How do I undercut my own argument when I agree that human involvement can lead to error in anything? I agree that this is always a possibliity whether in religion or science or any other field?

Because in so doing, you can't call it (Creation is a myth) a fact, which is what you continue to do. You can believe it to be true, which is fine, but at least change your language a little to reflect your admission that there is a possibility in human error (this includes your own in believing a man-written account concerning the falsehood of 6 day Creation).

Instead of saying it like "it is the case that Creation is a myth", show that you're willing to take into consideration that you may be mistaken by phrasing it like "based on what I have researched, I am led to the conclusion that it is a myth". At that point, a rational discussion can take place where the other side is not dismissed at the outset, which is pretty insulting.

I don't frankly know how long I will be here? I mean this forum OF COURSE!
To be honest however scrutinizing every simplex means that we want to find something and that something has long since passed.

I'd rather just be, or try to be a good person. Saved a cats life last week which made me feel good. Been a heck load of situations where folks need help and others would just stand back and watch, (Sometimes). Peeps don't like a burden. I'm one now as it happens.

I play guitar, bass, and keyboard. Tried drums, but cant keep time on them, I can keep time on the others, lol. I put up a few new tracks on my profile. Let me know what you think. The first two were improvised on my new sythn, and the last was played on the synth, but isn't new, its older.

Craig - YOU are my hobby. Bashing you makes me feel very happy & fulfilled. Being called a "bad father," or anything else, by the likes of your cowardly self, is an honor, due to your lack of any real substance. If you'd like to come up to WV to discuss it further, in person, I know a nice quiet peaceful place where we can be totally alone to take care of our differences, just like kids in the schoolyard, since that's how you seem to want to play.

You still haven't gotten any "growth" done, have you? I didn't really expect you to. A grown man would know better than to berate someone for over however many pages you please before you give in to peer pressure to stfu. But, I guess, we all have our little growth cycles, don't we?

Glutes - I didn't chime in until you'd had 20 posts under your verbosely HUGE belt, & didn't begin to attack you until you'd hit 22, when you started your post saying "Bullsh*t" in answer to Paul. Over 15 of those posts were unnecessarilly long & boring, & several were far from "friendly." Go look yourself.

I think it is a terribly petty thing to divide churches over.

I think it's sad too. If people hadn't tried to add that to the church then the church leaders wouldn't had had to stand up for the truth by showing the design in scripture then the people who wanted to add to the design would not have left.

You would not need to split a denomination, and form a new denomination, if ALL OTHERS were not wrong. If any other church were RIGHT, you could have joined them, and not split the Body of Christ, YET AGAIN with a new denomination.

1. We are an autonomous church. (the only scriptural kind of church is autonomous)
2. No splits have happened
3. We follow the guide in the new testament of examples and commands for the worship of God in Christ's church
4. That means there are no divisions or denomination - we are not a denomination
5. We are only Christians

It's easy to fight with someone who gives you so much ammunition, Prevost. Just peruse any of his posts - he defends himself more than anyone I ever met (cuz he has to), & in doing so, gives us all way too much personal info to hit him over the head with. While he's giving you all that ammo, he's also lowering his shields until they're completely gone.

He's really too easy.

Note his attack on my fatherhood. That was from a discussion we had over a yr ago, where we eventually agreed to disagree, & actually complimented each other for our parental attributes. He had to go there to hit me with anything, cuz he had nothing else, & it was a dead issue that he'd already complimented me on, so it was totally moot, & couldn't hit home at all.

He's really a terrible amateur at debating, & worse at the insult game, but that's only because he always has so much at stake - his own ego. It's always a fatal flaw.

Just like all of his arguments, it all comes down to Glutes - how informed he is, how smart he is, how many ppl admire him, all of the fantastic experiences he's had, etc etc etc ad infinitum...That's the easiest target in the world, but he hasn't learned that, yet, cuz he's oh so wrapped up in his next sentence, & his own glory.

I found it quite amusing that I was the only one who answered his post about his juvie thingie. That says a whole lot about how many ppl in here are into Glutes, doesn't it? He sees his popularity crumbling again, so he'll prolly turn up the pressure until we gather together & gang up on him, & then he'll claim that I've poisoned everyone's mind against him, cuz his ego won't let him see that it's Glutes that causes ppl to avoid Glutes.

Eh...some ppl just CAN'T learn from their mistakes.

But posting all of this is probably the kindest thing I could ever do for him, even though he'll get his ass on his shoulder again & argue about how wrong I am. Now that I've said that, it won't happen right away, but it's coming, I assure you, cuz he just can't stand to have his ego deflated by an opponent. You'd think he'd have gotten used to it by now.
