Years ago Dave Letterman had a guy ask people on the street if they were homo sapiens. You should have heard the responses to that, such as "I don't do them things." Our education system apparently is lacking.

I heard Steve Allen asking if they were heterosexuals. That was a riot.

I made up a joke a long time ago. I told it to a young woman in the local pub. Here's the joke -

"Did you know that Freud was a transvestite? They even named a slip after him." (freudian slip - right?)

Here's how it went -

Q - "Did you know that Freud was a transvestite?"

A - "What's a 'Freud?'"

Haven't told the joke again ever since...

When my sons were in the "why" stage and would ask me "why do people (this or that) dad"
I would simply tell them.

Because people are stupid.

Now when their teachers ask the same questions, my sons give them the same answer.
