So yesterday I gave Jace a peach & some watermelon, which he sure did like a lot! So much so that he was a wet, sticky mess from head to toe.
So I put him in the tub, after moving the magazine rack out of the bathroom. I also removed the trash & the lil bucket & everything else he could reach. The phone rang, so I left him for all of about two minutes. I felt sure that all was well, proud that I'd covered it all.
When I returned, I saw what I'd missed - you guessed it - the frikken toilet paper again! So the tub was one big spit ball. I cleaned the tub, hosed him down to remove the wet paper, & set him free while I finished the cleanup.
When I went out to check on him after that, I found that he'd dumped out the dog food AND the cat food, tore up the TV Guide & the mail, and had gotten into the peaches again & smeared juice all over the furniture...& the mail...& the bags of pet food...& the lamps...& the entire kitchen...
I'm not sure I'm up for another day of this...ah, motherhood!
Sometimes I think I'm dumb as a box of rocks, & then there's days like yesterday that prove me right...
