Exactly what about my 20+ years of use, 2 businesses, volunteer work in my children's schools, volunteer work with local and national charity organizations, a loving, well kept family (who several are christian, by the way, i truly believe even for my family, it is all a personal choice) and never even a citation for it, convinces you that I am irresponsible?

sounds to me like you WILL AND DO put your family at risk if it means you can poke mot... here's the ugly truth:
if someone comes to your house from child protection services and finds out that you poke mot w/o a valid permit in that state you could loose your kids... that means you are putting them at some limited risk.. and you are willing to let them endure that risk if it means you can poke mot.
If I were you: I'd at least consider keeping a low profile about it.

As I have stated before, I do not put my family at risk. I do not use my medicine indoors, I do not keep it anywhere anyone but me can get to it, and not indoors. I never possess more than the state has seen fit to consider a minor, ticketable offense. My church practices its rituals outdoors in nature where they belong. I am well aware of the risks, similarly to early christians who had to hide out when doing their religious practices for fear of imprisonment. Worst case scenario is a ticket and a chance to plead my case. The state already recognizes my ordainment, and has licensed me to perform weddings in the state. Then again, my state is the only state left in the union that still allows the practice of snake handling. So as far as not having medical marijuana, they have decriminalized to a point, and have the most religious freedom in any state of the union, so it is here I choose to reside. I take risks, I understand that, but my worst case scenario is simple possession, a small fine.

My only contentions are to get you to consider A) it COULD harm your family and B) it IS irresponsible to some degree and C) to inform you that you might want to keep a low prof in view of these factors and to counter silly conspiracy theories about why it's illegal and how it's a wonder drug that has no ill effects. other than that -you r preachin' to the choir.

for the record I can't stand the idea of all the drugs pushed legally on folks: that has nothing to do with pot.

If someone reads my posts and calls child services on me for expressing an opinion on the internet, then we as a country are in more trouble than I thought. How does anyone know for sure, beyond a reasonable doubt, that we are who we claim to be when we write these posts? Aside from other people revealing our names in an attack, and even then, how do you know I am really who I say I am. If that is what we call probable cause to investigate a person now, then this country has no hope left, it is already a police state. We are already on our way to that end with 2500 new children trying prescription drugs recreationally every single day, if we keep this drug war in the hands of the militant, we will have marshal law. We need to transfer the "war" on drugs to doctors to clean up. They made the mess too. More and more police uniforms are changing every day, no longer the friendly, business-suit-like uniforms that said to the public, we are your friends, we're here to help, they are all switching to the Battle Dress Uniform, they look like a paramilitary strike force, when one of them pulls you over, you are actually afraid by the look of them. A war on drugs is a war on the poor. The police are armed and in combat gear, MOST of the drug users are unarmed, broke, and at their lowest mental state. Is that really the time to send in the military against its own people?

I never said i have ADHD, until now, I never said why it was prescribed; it was prescribed to me to be ingested every evening to stave off acid reflux, and I have bad acid reflux which once daily use has eliminated, unless I miss a dose, and has since repaired my ulcer. I did say that, without it, I am very hyperactive, like ADHD.

But if following my doctors original recommendation is, to you, irresponsible, then so be it. Obviously you don't have any habits you do daily that anyone else would consider harmful, you obey every law down to using turn signals, you don't smoke, drink, use caffeine, have a particular route you take to work or to drop off your children at school which would put your family into an easily identifyable pattern that a kidnapper or murderer could easily use to get to you or your kids...cause you are perfect. Sorry my life bothers you so much.

The only thing I will add is that if Im doing something that I wouldnt do in front of my children or dont want them to do, Why should I do it? Thats become my way of looking at things in my life. And I am far from perfect on this, so I dont want to judge anyone, cause I am a sinner.

I only want to say, that this comment is not even practical. Everything else you said was insightful, but there are MANY things adults do that they would not do in front of their children because they don't want their children doing them, drugs, sex, watch certain movies, etc. But if we all show each other mutual respect and openly debate without sarcasm and vicious, unnecessary attacks, then we are in the right, no matter what our beliefs, I think we can all agree that acceptance along with open, friendly debate is always a better solution to differences. whether you worship god, buddha, mohhamed, the sun, or a head of lettuce, you have the right to do so, and I applaud your ferver, but I always try to remember that anyone who is 100% SURE they are right is usually wrong, I don't claim to be sure I am right, how could I...the only way we will all know for sure is when we die

Rev its practical to me, and I work at this every day, cause in spite of any success's, all the money Ive made, all the places Ive gone, all the friends Ive made, the only Legacy that I will leave behind is the character that my kids carry on when Im gone. rev mike: that's pretty thick headed. you can't even allow yourself to acknowledge the possibility is real, but rather go off on a tangent that if ppul do that then x. I've tried to lead this camel to water and I'm convinced the camel won't drink. That's ok w me. Gotta love ya anyway.

Let me say that it is pretty easy to tie you to your words, or at least your computer based on the ip linked to your account. it's not probable cause, but lets say they start watching you and using the new freedom to tap your cell they catch you on your way back from the dealer.

what if your dealer gets robbed while u r there?
what if medical studies (my fav ones) are right and you die of a heart attack? what if your son/daughter finds a j you accidentally lost?
what if someone accidentally eats a pot brownie of yours?
I'm not trying to convince you to quit mike... just get you to enlighten yourself in respect to actually seeing the possible harm it could cause. it would make you more responsible to acknowledge that risk.

oh, by the way: that whole thing about the mikev church of tax exemption, that was just a joke. Ages ago I worked at a music store and we constantly had rev this and that coming in and a few of them tried to get tax exemption w/o actually being connected to any legitimate church or having a tax exemption license. We'd always joke that they were from the church of tax exemption... just a joke. not really directed at you or your church. I try to have tolerance for all religions cause I believe they are all an attempt by man to reach for something better than themselves. to try to improve their life and be a better person: from the koran to the mormons to the jahovas to the christians to the flying spaghetti monsters.
one of these days I'm actually going to go sit in a church and prey. but I just have a hard time getting past all the things that most organized religions do that make me feel 'out of place'. that's probably just an excuse. anywho, for what it's worth I've enjoyed our debate.
