in case you just want to here people say "wow yer great" (some ppul do) then stop at this next sentence and don't read on...
wow, your great

if you care what I actually think about your music and ideas on how to improve... ALL IN MY OPINION... read on.
listening to you now prong... some nice chops. (Almond Butter)
redo the drums... they are bad. at :26 is your best riff. nice chromatic riff that nicely resolves.
Are you a 'one man show'? -I'm just curious... I am too. I would probably change my comments a little knowing this or not cause if you programmed the drums yourself - that takes some talent/effort/work. I Know how hard it can be. That said...

Nice bass... solid and on time. Should be louder in the mix.
@ 1:58... take that rif out IMO... we all heard it on love song by tesla, on dee by randy roads, and ten other ppul. pull offs from 4 to 2 to open on g-string to the a-string... did I call that or what?
Not trying to be a jerk here... (but am probably succeeding as usual) I just think that this part of the solo belittles your otherwise nice phrasing.
One thing you will learn about me is I am very sincere in my feedback... I don't pull punches but I am careful to be reasonably nice about it.
Hopefully my comments don't offend and are constructive. That is how I mean them.
white knite... voice is in tune... on key, but is not that strong tone-wise. Again not bad, but a place you could improve improve upon. I like the gtr work... not bad for an ORF (that's my dad's saying it means old retired fart - which is just one of our 'terms of endeerment' at the MrMikeV houshold).

THE BAD... the drums on both are your weakest point. Real drums would really help out... you should hit www dot musicianscollaboration dot com. You could post these tunes and have real drummers add real drum tracks. I think the vocal recording/performance is holding you back a bit on the white knight song... perhaps some backup harmonization would enhance the main vocal and put it in the 'win' catagory.
That one gtr riff was a kinda 'played out' riff.
THE GOOD... some nice gtr work, good phrasing, some interesting modal flirtations here and there. Nice bass lines on almond butter. Nice gtr tone for the tunes. Some interesting 'keys/violins?' in the background.

Bitch slapping contests huh? Well I am sure that you can find a version of that at the planet. I of course have something to say about everything. I can duck pretty good also :)
The question is should you dress up for a gig?
Well if it's at a dinner house yea man wear a tux. If it's at a redneck bar don't. I actually overdressed for a sit in once at a bar. Wore a suit coat over a T shirt and jeans. Here is a hint if you get to a gig and find you ave overdressed leave your fly down it will take everyones attention off of your clothes. Now if you go to a wedding dressed in torn jeans and dirty shirt don't expect to get another wedding gig from a referral. Now you have the chance to get a gig at a nudest colony paint your dick red so you will stand out from the rest of the crowd.

I once had a gig at a pool party. I wore nothing but a speedo. Well I didn't get laid that night or many tips so I guess we have to learn from our mistakes.
I would prefer to be slapped with a trout if there is a choice on the Bitch slapping.
Bring it on :)
Only one thing I require when I go to a gig. Can I bring my Monkey?

I am not offended at all at any of your comments. All of these songs are ten+ years old and cannot be redone. I post these so as to gain an understanding of the type of people I am dealing with.
All of your comments are right on and I appreciate the input. Yes I am a one man band and have a hard time with drums and drummers. I have tried to do some colabs on line but can't seem to find the right mix of musicians.
Thanks for the guitar words. I have been playing since I was 11 (56 now) I don't consider myself a great guitarist but love to listen to good guitarist.
On my Songplanet.com/prongsong site I have many tunes of different styles once a song makes it to a post I never go back and redue it so some of your inspiration on making them better would be lost. I will however remember every one of your words when I do a new tune. I am among the top 100 on this site and the competition is fierce. My latest tune Katie Burned Her Bra is getting good air play I guess because it's different.

I am not looking for a stroking on how good I am, I know exactly how good I am. I was told I am better then most but not as good as some. This suits me OK. I am happy to be able to meet musicians like you that can be truthful and don't pull any punches.

I hope you will take the time to post some tunes at the planet. I think you will find it a kewlio place. Not sure about the bitch slapping but your tunes seem like they will fit right in.
Thanks again for taking the time to listen to the tunes.
The Prongster
PS never listened to tesla maybe they heard me?

wow, I like you. your gonna fit right in around here.
AFA bitchslapping, that's usually reserved for "heated topic arguments".
you've got a good attitue towards feedback. we all need to learn how to take honest feedback better and if this site is good for anything it's that. You've got a good perspective on where your talents lie to... srv was a 'great guitarist' the best the rest of us can hope for is good... but that's not bad. Eric Clapton isn't/wasn't as good as vaughn either... and as much as I hate clapton... he was pretty good.
Please, when you have time, give another tune of mine a liston on my myspace page listed below... and please give me the same honesty and detail in your feedback.
Thanks again for the tip on the other website... I will check it out soon.
